How buyers shop ABA service partners.
The questions operators most often ask before retaining a back-office, talent, or compliance vendor — answered against the same disclosed methodology that powers the ranking.
§05.07.01
What service vendors does ABA Rank index?
ABA Rank indexes operational service vendors that support ABA practices in three groups: back office (billing, credentialing, authorization management, RCM), talent and growth (recruiting, RBT training, BCBA supervision, marketing), and compliance and education (HIPAA, BHCOE/CARF accreditation, policy consulting, CEU providers). Software products and clinics are indexed separately.
§05.07.02
How does ABA Rank rank service vendors?
Service vendors are scored on the same 100-point Index used for software and clinics: 50 points from profile completeness (service lines, payor coverage, certifications, locations), 20 points from verification, 5 points from listing tier, and 25 points from qualified public reviews. Methodology is fully disclosed at /how-we-rank.
§05.07.03
What is the difference between an ABA billing service and an RCM vendor?
On ABA Rank, "billing services" cover claim submission, posting, and follow-up only, while "revenue cycle management" (RCM) bundles billing with eligibility, authorizations, denials, and patient billing. Most full-service back-office firms list under both billing services and credentialing or authorizations. Use the "Outsourced revenue cycle" stack on /services to see the full RCM-bundle vendors.
§05.07.04
How do I choose between ABA RBT training providers?
Compare RBT training providers on four disclosed factors: BACB-approved 40-hour curriculum, pass-rate transparency, supervision support included, and integrated competency assessment. ABA Rank lists each provider's curriculum format, language coverage, and whether ongoing supervision is bundled. Filter by state if your hires need state-specific overlay coursework.
§05.07.05
Are ABA service vendors on ABA Rank verified?
Verification is optional and disclosed. Verified service vendors complete a credential audit (BACB credentials for clinical service partners, business registration and references for non-clinical firms). Unverified vendors remain listed but are clearly marked, and verified vendors gain a placement boost in two regions plus a verification seal.
§05.07.06
How much do ABA back-office services cost?
Pricing varies widely. Billing services typically run 4-8% of collected revenue or a flat per-claim fee. Credentialing is usually $150-$400 per clinician per payor. RBT training programs range from $99 to $499 per learner. ABA Rank publishes each vendor's disclosed pricing model and band on their profile when provided — there is no paid placement and no hidden referral commission.
§05.07.07
Can I bundle multiple ABA service vendors into one engagement?
Yes. ABA Rank publishes four common procurement stacks: outsourced revenue cycle (billing + credentialing + authorizations), workforce build-out (recruiting + RBT training + supervision), compliance and accreditation (HIPAA + BHCOE/CARF + policy), and growth partners (marketing + consulting). Each stack pre-filters vendors that operate across all bundled categories.
§05.07.08
How can a service vendor get listed on ABA Rank?
Any owner or authorized representative of an ABA service vendor can claim a listing for free. Claimed profiles unlock 27 editable fields (service lines, payor coverage, certifications, outcomes data, pricing) and up to 75 of the 100 Index points. Verified ($400/yr) and Sponsor ($1,200/yr) tiers are optional paid upgrades disclosed in the methodology.
