§ The mark

One badge. A reproducible review behind it.

Anyone visiting your profile can read what was checked, when, and by whom. The badge is a shortcut for the work — not a substitute for it.

§ The five-point check

What we actually verify.

Same checks for clinics and vendors. Same checks for the largest networks and the smallest single-site practices.

01
Identity & ownership
Legal entity, operating name, and principal owner reconciled against state registrations and corporate filings.
02
Domain & business email
Authority to act on behalf of the listing confirmed via a domain-matched work email and a one-time verification token.
03
Credentials & licensure
For clinics: BCBA roster, state Medicaid IDs, and accreditations cross-checked. For vendors: company registration and category fit reviewed.
04
Profile evidence
Screenshots, integration claims, insurance networks, and service areas spot-checked against public sources.
05
Continuity check
Re-verified annually. Material changes in ownership, name, or licensure trigger a fresh review before the badge re-issues.
§ Why it matters

What Verified does for you.

The badge is the surface. The four shifts below are the substance.

§ Trust

A trust mark families and buyers recognize.

The Verified badge appears on your profile, in category lists, and on every review surface. It tells visitors a third party has done the work.

§ Visibility

Priority placement where decisions get made.

Verified listings receive elevated placement in two regions or categories where families and buyers compare options most.

§ Index

A direct lift in your Index score.

Verification contributes the V component of the public Index = C + V + S + R formula. The math is reproducible and disclosed.

§ Influence

A voice in the directory you appear in.

Verified accounts can dispute data, propose corrections, and submit operational evidence that updates their profile within one business day.

§ Process

How to get Verified.

One pass, four steps. No automated approvals, no rubber stamps.

  1. STEP 01

    Claim the listing

Find your clinic or vendor profile and start the claim. Free for everyone, with no credit card required.

  2. STEP 02

    Submit evidence

Upload credentials, ownership documents, and any verifiable artifacts. Most submissions take under fifteen minutes.

  3. STEP 03

    Independent review

An ABA Rank reviewer runs the five-point check and follows up directly if anything is missing. No automated approvals.

  4. STEP 04

    Badge issued

Once cleared, the Verified mark goes live on your profile with a public verification date. Re-checked yearly.

§ FAQ

Common questions.

What people ask before they hit the Verify button.

How is ABA Rank Verified different from accreditation?
Accreditation evaluates clinical practice against a standard such as BHCOE or CARF. ABA Rank Verified evaluates the integrity of the listing — that the entity, ownership, credentials, and claimed details on the profile are real and current. The two are complementary: a clinic can be accredited but unverified, or verified but not yet accredited.
Can ABA Rank Verified be purchased?
No. Verification is earned by passing a five-point editorial review of identity, ownership, credentials, profile evidence, and continuity. The Verified tier carries a $400 annual fee that covers the cost of independent review, but evidence is the only thing that produces the badge. A failed review is refunded.
Does Verified change a vendor's ranking on ABA Rank?
It contributes the V component of the public Index = C + V + S + R formula, which is fully disclosed on the How we rank page. The other components are earned through profile completeness (C), sponsor disclosure (S), and qualified public reviews (R). Verified status alone does not move a vendor to the top of the index.
How long does ABA Rank Verified review take?
Most listings clear review within three business days of evidence submission. Complex cases — multi-entity ownership, newly licensed practices, or clinics with pending state filings — may take longer. The reviewer follows up by email if anything is missing rather than auto-rejecting.
What happens if a Verified listing changes hands?
Material changes — ownership, legal name, or licensure — pause the Verified badge until a fresh review is completed. The badge resumes once the new evidence clears the same five-point check that issued it originally. The public verification date on the profile updates accordingly.
Can the ABA Rank Verified badge be revoked?
Yes. Falsified evidence, refusal to participate in annual re-verification, or substantiated complaints from the public can trigger an editorial review and, if warranted, removal of the badge. Revoked listings keep their public profile but lose the Verified mark and the V points in the Index formula.
