Who runs the directory, how it’s funded, how the editorial side stays separate from the commercial side — answered for reporters, vendors, and families.
- What is ABA Rank?
- ABA Rank is an independent ranked directory of Applied Behavior Analysis software, services, and clinics. It catalogs practice-management platforms, session-note tools, RBT training programs, parent-training services, and ABA clinics, and orders them on a public formula anyone can inspect. Rankings derive from disclosed profile, verification, and limited sponsor inputs — never from undisclosed pay-to-play.
- Who runs ABA Rank?
- ABA Rank is operated by an editorial team with backgrounds in ABA practice operations and software product. The methodology, the editorial side, and the commercial side are run by different people and the methodology is published in full on the How we rank page. Named contributors on articles list their credentials, prior roles, and areas of expertise.
- How is ABA Rank funded?
- ABA Rank is funded by tiered vendor subscriptions — Claimed (free), Verified ($400/yr), and Sponsor ($1,200/yr). The Sponsor tier is the only paid input that can affect ranking, it is capped, and sponsored placements appear above the ranked list with a visible sponsored chip — they never blend into organic rank. Editorial coverage runs on a separate track and cannot be purchased.
- Does paying ABA Rank improve a vendor’s ranking?
- Only in the disclosed sponsor-tier component, which is worth a maximum of 25 of the 100 Index points and is capped. The remaining 75 points are earned through operational evidence: profile completeness, claim and verification status, and qualified public reviews. Sponsored slots are visually distinct and sit above the ranked list — they do not reorder it.
- How is ABA Rank different from G2, Capterra, or other directories?
- Most software directories sort by ad spend with a thin layer of review-count theatre on top. ABA Rank publishes its full methodology, separates sponsored placements from the ranked list visually and structurally, focuses on the ABA market rather than a generic SaaS index, and includes ABA clinics alongside software and service vendors so families and operators can use the same directory.
- How do I get my company listed or correct a profile?
- New vendors can be submitted on the Suggest a vendor page; submissions are reviewed weekly. Vendors already on the site can claim their profile from the public listing to verify details, edit content, and respond to incoming messages. Spotted a factual error? The Suggest an edit link at the bottom of every page goes straight to the moderation queue.
- How do I contact ABA Rank?
- General inquiries go to hello@abarank.com. Press, including credential and methodology questions from reporters, goes to press@abarank.com. Methodology-specific questions and rerank disputes go to methodology@abarank.com. The editorial side and the commercial side route through separate inboxes by design.
