All 100 Index points are earned through operational evidence - qualified public reviews (50 points, the largest signal), profile completeness, verification recency, and primary-category fit. What Sponsor buys is a labeled slot above the ranked list, which is visibly marked as paid. ABA Rank does not accept paid placement disguised as merit. Software and service vendors unlock buyer messaging from comparing practices, plus labeled sponsored slots on /software and /services. In both cases the slot renders above the ranked list rather than changing position inside it.

None - readability is not a paid feature. Claimed (free), Verified, and Sponsor listings are all published as schema.org structured data, as plaintext markdown at /api/vendors/{slug}/md, through the public /api/v1 JSON API and the MCP server at /api/mcp, and in the llms.txt digest. Claim the listing and fill in every field first; that is free and it is the largest single improvement most providers can make.

Sponsor buys a labeled slot above the ranked list, which is reach, not rank. All 100 Index points are unpurchasable at every tier, and sponsored slots stay visibly labeled and never reorder the ranked list. No tier guarantees a citation.

Yes. Tier changes happen from the dashboard. Upgrades take effect immediately so the new tier benefits - verification review, sponsored placement, print inclusion - are unlocked on the next ranking pass. Downgrades apply at the next billing cycle, so you keep paid benefits through the end of the period you have already purchased.

All major credit cards and ACH bank transfers are accepted for Verified and Sponsor tier subscriptions. Annual invoicing is available for Sponsor-tier accounts on request. Claimed profiles are free and require no payment method on file.

Yes. Verified ($490/yr) and Sponsor ($1,490/yr) tiers carry a 14-day refund window from the date of purchase, no questions asked. After 14 days, the subscription runs to the end of its annual term. Claimed profiles are free, so no refund applies.

Your profile reverts to the Claimed (free) tier. You keep full profile control, all historical messages, and all data you have entered. Only tier-specific benefits - the verification seal, the sponsored slot, the print-edition entry - pause until the subscription is renewed. Your Index score does not change when a subscription lapses, because subscription tier is not an input to it.

ABA coaches list for free and can upgrade to one of two paid plans. Free publishes your coach profile in the ABA Rank coach finder and delivers family inquiries on the standard schedule. Pro adds a Pro badge and family inquiries within 15 minutes instead of the standard 4-hour wait. Featured adds a prominent Featured badge and instant family inquiries. Neither plan affects coach search ranking. Current Pro and Featured prices are shown on the pricing page and inside your dashboard.

Coaches use a tailored Free / Pro / Featured plan set instead of the Claimed / Verified / Sponsor tiers that clinics and software or service vendors share. Coach plans focus on how quickly you receive family inquiries and how prominently you appear in the /find-coach search, rather than on evidence verification and category placement.
