Waystar is a cloud-native revenue cycle management platform that simplifies healthcare payment processing and financial optimization for providers across the United States. The company was formed in 2017 through the merger of Navicure and ZirMed and now operates as a publicly traded company (ticker: WAY).
The platform processes over 5 billion healthcare payment transactions annually, managing over $2.4 trillion in gross claims. Waystar serves approximately 30,000 clients representing more than 1 million distinct providers, including 16 of 20 institutions on the U.S. News Best Hospitals Honor Roll. Its enterprise-grade software addresses core revenue cycle functions including financial clearance, patient financial care, claim and payer payment management, denials prevention and recovery, clinical integrity and revenue capture, and comprehensive analytics and reporting.
Waystar maintains headquarters in both Lehi, Utah and Louisville, Kentucky, with over 1,500 full-time team members as of early 2026. The company has recently incorporated agentic intelligence capabilities into its cloud-native platform to further automate and optimize healthcare revenue processes. Recent recognition includes selection to the TIME100 Most Influential Companies list and the TIME Impact in AI award in 2026.

These guys are the worst! Put patients through hell with no customer support, no response to legal obligations via Data Subject Requests. You know it's bad when the General Counsel ignores the legal stuff! AVOID.

The clearinghouse was very straightforward to use and customer service was beyond excellent. Jordan Miller was quite helpful and I loved the integration with my EMR.
