Absolute garbage. Doesn’t work half the time. If it is working it goes super slow. Freezes and you lose 20 minutes worth of work. Reconsider purchasing this for your practice

Worst EHR I ever have worked with since 2004. Slow, complicated, does not learn anything what user wants to do, does not notify users of changes, updates, is not flexible, has no idea how practitioners really work, does not take any suggestions, even the log in process is a pain.

If you're considering eClinicalWorks (ECW), think twice. This is by far one of the worst decisions we made for our medical practice. The system is clunky, overly complicated, and riddled with bugs. Every task takes multiple steps that should be simple—wasting valuable time in a profession where efficiency matters. We had to open support tickets nearly daily just to keep the system functional. The only feature that seemed promising—Sunoh AI—was completely unusable. It constantly glitched and added more stress rather than reducing it. ECW made our clinic look unprofessional and disorganized, which we believe led to the loss of patients and potential clients. The damage to our reputation is something we're still recovering from. Worse yet, the communication with their support team was exhausting. While the sales team was easy to understand, nearly all post-sale support was handled by individuals with very thick accents and poor communication skills. Calls that should have taken 10 minutes turned into an hour of constant repetition and confusion. If you aren’t from India—or extremely fluent in understanding strong Indian accents—be prepared for a frustrating experience every time you need help. To top it off, they demanded an outrageous early termination fee, even after we made it clear their system didn’t work for us. They offered a small discount, but threatened collections if we didn’t pay. This from a massive company that showed zero concern for the damage they caused our small, struggling clinic. Avoid ECW unless you enjoy wasting time, losing patients, and being treated like your problems don’t matter. There are far better EMR options out there that actually help you serve your patients instead of standing in the way.

As a Physician Consultant, I must say that eClinicalWorks product itself is overall great, the customer service is absolutely horrible—especially in the sales, accounting, and collections departments. Every time you open a case, it takes weeks or even months to get resolved. It’s nearly impossible to get through or get anything done efficiently. It’s clear they don’t care about their customers, likely because they’re such a big company. Their product is very expensive, and the process for making changes—like adding or removing a provider or changing ownership—is a nightmare. These changes can take months, and in the meantime, they continue billing you. If you fall behind even slightly, they put a support hold on your account. This is just bad business. I’m extremely unhappy and already looking for a new EMR. I wouldn’t recommend eClinicalWorks to anyone who values responsive customer service and smooth operations.
