If I could give 0 stars I would. We have received multiple payments from this company on behalf of insurance companies for medical services provided. It is interesting that we receive most of the payments without a problem (they take a percentage from payments despite never having opted into receiving these); however, once a payment for $18,459 is supposed to come and does not. The first VCard was sent to us on 11/09/23. They would not look at it until 30 days after the date of issuance. On 12/9/23 we did not receive the payment and a check was issued. They would not trace or cancel the payment until after 14 days after issuance. We still had not received the payment by 12/21/23. My administrative assistant called and they person stated that the check was mailed to the wrong zip code (did they change the zip code for this one check?!?). As of 12/26/23, the check was canceled and my administrative assistant called and they stated they would be sending the payment via direct deposit. As of 12/29/23 we have not received the payment. They stated they sent another check on 12/27/23. We have been getting the run around. If you are receiving payments from insurance companies through Zelis I would recommend telling the insurance company to NOT have the payments go through Zelis. They are not reliable, they lie about what they are going to do and what they have done. We were told that the zip code was wrong and the manager that we talked to today said that the zip code thing was not accurate and that they are unable to direct deposit it and that this statement from her staff was also not correct. Please, for your sanity and to ensure you are paid timely, make sure to tell your Payers that you do not want VCards or Checks from Zelis!

Will never ever consider Zelis again. Extremely rude employee! These photos taken outside your Saint Petersburg offices. Clearly marked “NO SMOKING” signs. One of your employees blatantly ignoring the signs. Politely asked her to stop which she *refused* to do. Is this the image your company wants to project? #ZELIS #ZEROSTARS

If you are an insurer or other payer who is considering Zelis, please read all the reviews here. As a billing coordinator for a healthcare provider, I can say that, while everyone is very nice at Zelis, the company structure itself makes the relationship difficult. The "Virtual Payment Cards" still incur credit card fees if we opt for them, so we lose 3-4%. If we want Direct Deposit, we have to incur a 1.9% fee. We don't pay for Direct Deposit/ACH ANYWHERE else with any insurer. And, what do we get, for our 1.9%? Very nice customer service people who have to escalate anything out of the ordinary to another team that you can't talk to directly. And, if there's a problem with the escalation, you won't know until you don't receive your money. No one will call you or email you. Obviously, none of us are going to stop providing care for our patients/clients over issues like this, but for an insurer/payor to choose Zelis is a clear sign that they are okay with wasting a provider's time and money.

SHADY SHADY SHADY! Steven called re: a payment he had, said he was from the dental company (he named the company specifically). He needed info to send me the payment, I told him I preferred paper checks, he said this is just during the Covid 19 crisis. At no time did he say what company he was from. I only realized it when I was bombarded with emails within minutes of our call. I immediately called back to cancel. I was told that I had to speak with Steven, I had to hang up after being on hold for over 10 minutes, which I think was by design. I called and today and SW a rep who also said I had to speak with Steven. Again, after a long hold the rep came back and I asked for a manager to call me and cancel any membership I had been fraudulently added to. TERRIBLE business practices, if I get give 0 stars, I would have.

Horrible customer service and borderline robbery for their "services." Be prepared to give up half of you money for the convenience of a fast pay claim. I am working diligently to undo the damage caused by their sneaky enrollment process and collusion with the insurance industry. Steer clear of anything associated with this company and carefully read any correspondence that has the name Zelis in it.
