How Regional Center of Orange County works.
Regional Center of Orange County (RCOC) is a state-contracted nonprofit organization that coordinates lifelong services and support for individuals with developmental disabilities in Orange County, California. Operating as the primary access point for regional disability services, RCOC helps individuals and families navigate and access services funded through the state system.
RCOC serves over 29,000 Orange County residents who have developmental disabilities including autism spectrum disorder, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, and intellectual and cognitive disabilities. The organization functions as a coordinator and funder of services rather than a direct service provider, connecting eligible individuals with qualified vendors and support agencies throughout the region.
Based at its central office in Santa Ana with an additional office in Cypress, RCOC provides counseling, psychological services, and behavior management support. The organization helps individuals develop essential life skills and access behavioral services, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment methods and in-home behavioral services through contracted partner agencies.
As part of the statewide regional center system, RCOC has been serving the Orange County community since 1977. The organization maintains a staff of approximately 500+ employees dedicated to case management, service coordination, and support for the developmental disabilities community.

Did not like one of your agents, kind of harsh and did not have good public relations. She would interrupted my nterpretations telling me to say exactly how the Psicologist was asking the questions and that is how I would do. Then the psychologist call another psychologist to interpret. Mrs. Rodriguez told me that they needed a better interpreter. I'm an interpreter for 15 years and haven't had any complains since I started working in education as an interpreter. I also translate the districts documents since then. S believe she needs some guidance in public Relations

This review is over due. It’s more of a thank you. This program helped both of my children greatly. Everyone has been so nice and helpful from beginning to end. Very grateful programs like this exist to help children in their developing process.

Not worth going through here for services. We wasted nearly a year with these people. The places they sent us to were awful (stay FAR away from Progress Speech in Santa Ana for starters). Our caseworker was extremely unhelpful. We finally requested to stop services through them, cause we're DONE. Well she didn't and our phone is still constantly going and have to keep "cancelling" appointments that we're not even supposed to have anymore. Seriously, just go through your primary doctor/ pediatrician and get help through your insurance instead. Don't waste yours or your child's time like I did. I seriously regret ever contacting these people .

The staff was super nice and welcoming. They provided myself and my colleagues the best tour and presentation about their place of work. They offer a variety of resources for people in the orange County community. They also let us know that early detection of intellectual disabilities and autism can help with managing and potentially reducing the risk of lifetime support.

I visited the office today to restart services for my son. I was assisted by Carlos Serrano who was so caring, kind, professional and very efficient. He went over with me how Regional works and how they can help my son if he qualifies for services. Carlos really went above and beyond of what I expected. The facility was pristine clean.
