We just had an absolutely wonderful experience. My son is a chatter and loves meeting new people and the women working at the front desk, the nurses, and our Doctor (Dr. Buchanan) were such rays of sunshine and so sweet to our boy! We were in and out in less than an hour, but never felt rushed. The doctor took great care and answered all of our questions and made my son feel very comfortable and at ease. Highly recommend!

Ms. Sandy at the front desk of the lab/ surgery waiting area is the absolute best!! We are there every few months and each time she is always so sweet to our family and so caring of our toddler. We love Ms. Sandy!

In the past we have had great experiences. The last 2 years have fallen short. At this point I have transferred both my children's long term care to other doctors. Missed an injury to my 4 yo daughter's cervical spine after a fall and no imaging was ordered to check. Just an MRI of the brain and a concussion was confirmed. No x-rays of her neck. Not CT. Just the MRI. Headaches went on for months only to find out she had a cervical injury and when that was addressed and treated at another facility outside of nemours she started improving. Nemours just wanted to throw medication at it (again... 4 year old with migraines after a fall...). When the medicine caused dangerous side effects we were told to simply lower the dose and add another medication that was listed as a no-go in her chart. Then we were left with a bill the size of a car loan and we'll be making monthly payments on that for the next 10 years. They don't have many options for financial assistance and we were told we didn't have any options for help other than an "interest free payment plan." As for my son, had his tonsils out after fighting with doctors for YEARS to have it done. Had he had them taken out when we first started getting referred by the pediatrician 5 years ago, the recovery would have been so much easier is what we have been told. The recovery for him at almost 9 years old was horrible. Then he ended up with 2 post op infections and the surgeon refused to recognize them as such or see us to give him antibiotics. A trip to urgent care and another hospital 10 days post op with a 103 fever got him what he needed. When we finally saw the Dr for a follow up at nemours, he still said the infection couldn't have been from his surgery because he had a perfect record. We all know how perfect records happen... Kids like this go unreported. So no, we have decided to no longer seek care or accept referrals to Nemours. Again, they used to be great... But they have fallen the last few years. Unless your child has some sort of chronic condition or needs long term inpatient care, you are not a good enough paycheck for the hospital and they will absolutely roll you right through the door to billing.

Our first time visiting this hospital and the staff as well as Dr. Skinner were very informative with my concerns for my son who is 14. He let him speak freely and my son was extremely comfortable with the doctor. He has excellent bedside manners. I recommend this hospital from our first visit. Hospital and office were very clean as well.

Nemours Children’s has been a blessing for our family. We drive from out of town because the care, communication, and compassion here are unmatched. Dr. Klawinski is incredible — he takes time to explain everything, includes my son in decisions, and treats him like a person, not a case. He is knowledgeable, patient, and truly cares. The nurses and other staff (Tori and Kristin especially) are phenomenal. They are kind, gentle, and make my son feel safe and in control during a time when so much is out of his hands, while supporting our entire family every step of the way. If I could give more than five stars, I would. Nemours doesn’t just treat children — they support families, and we are so grateful for them.
