I’m An alumni of The Help Group, Where is the affectionately call it “The Hell Group” Because this school is exactly what I describe it as. The name of the school alone is so dehumanizing, if not hypocritical Because they don’t help those kids worth a damn! The only thing they helped me with is finding better friends who went through similar issues as me, and that’s the only thing I’m grateful to that school for. Other than that, in the Village Glen program, they treated kids like they were more disabled than they actually were. When it came to bullies, the teachers didn’t do a damn thing about it but say “ Your parents have to get involved to report the bully there’s nothing we can do about it” if I could go back in time, I would’ve convinced my mom to let me stay in public school and that way I would’ve actually had a good high school experience. I pray, I pray to God this school gets shut down because I would never subject my future children to what I endured at this school.

The Help Group presents itself as an organization dedicated to helping children, teenagers, young adults, adults, and families. For this reason, my experience with Mr. Maged Botros was even more disappointing. His attitude, in my personal experience, was rude, aggressive, and completely unprofessional. When someone represents an organization that claims to work with vulnerable people and families, respect, empathy, and professionalism should be the absolute minimum. Unfortunately, this experience gave me a very poor impression of the way this organization is represented abroad.

My son graduated from The Help Group’s Sunrise program a couple of years ago, but he still talks about it with so much joy. He adored Miss Stacey, Mr. Brandon, and Miss Kathy, who made him feel safe, supported, and loved. He even asks to go back to Camp Sunshine! I truly hope The Help Group considers opening a day program for autistic adults 22 and up. Families like ours need it, and it would give incredible young adults like my son the chance to keep growing and thriving. Please consider making this a reality—it would change lives.

I never went to school here, but I knew a couple people that did. I only came here because they did the club LA help group events because they had the RV arcade and I was looking for someone to play video games and then find someone who has the same similar interest in hobbies as I do but do too because the organizer retired the new organizers aren’t that great they’re terrible for doing the club LA events. They don’t provide enough food and drinks like soda. They won’t let the kids get away with anything and let them pick whatever song they want when they dance or do karaoke or talent shows and they have no idea how to handle the adults with disabilities. I might not go to club LA help group of events anymore due to because of the Meetup events that they do I wish they would do K-pop meet up events or something like that or more video game events or something or K-pop or whatever they need to do better honestly, I’m going to miss coming here because of the club LA events
