Siskin Children's Institute

Siskin Children's Institute is a nonprofit healthcare organization founded in 1950 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, dedicated to providing comprehensive developmental services to children with autism, Down syndrome, and other special needs. The organization has grown from its original location to now operate clinics in both Chattanooga and Nashville, serving families across Tennessee and Georgia.

The Institute offers a full range of therapeutic and diagnostic services including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy delivered at their clinical centers, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, and medical/psychological assessment services. Their multidisciplinary team includes Board Certified Behavior Analysts and licensed therapists who work with children from 18 months through 12 years old. Services are designed to support children's developmental progress across communication, behavioral, and adaptive functioning domains.

Beyond direct clinical services, Siskin Children's Institute provides family support programs, counseling, and social skills groups to help families navigate their children's developmental journeys. The organization employs approximately 190 professionals and maintains a commitment to evidence-based practice in autism intervention and support. As a nonprofit, Siskin's mission centers on ensuring accessible care to families regardless of financial circumstances.

The Institute's leadership includes President and Chief Executive Officer Don Mueller, who brings over two decades of healthcare experience to the role.
