Our experience was outstanding at Good Shepherd in Center Valley. My husband had a massive stroke in December and following his surgery I chose that facility based on fantastic comments from many people we know. The doctor, Dr. Tariq Rajnarine, was excellent with his knowledge and was so helpful in explaining every step to us. The 4th floor nurses, aides and therapists were so responsive and compassionate not only to my husband but also to me. After his next surgery I’m really hoping we came return to there.
My mother spent 2 weeks at the inpatient PT in Center Valley. What a good experience she had! The staff was so friendly and dedicated to making sure she was well taken care of and given the quality PT and OT rehabilitation sessions she needed to get stronger so she could function as independently as possible. She especially liked the support animal, Nellie. This is a great place with a great staff. Thank you!
Center Valley Location - Staff is friendly and kind. Physical therapists were fantastic with my Mom and teaching my son how to care for her after discharge. Modern facilities and clean. Much cheerier and spacious than other places that I considered. We are going to their outpatient facility due to our positive experience at Center Valley.
My wife developed a complex life threatening injury which resulted in renal failure and a partial bowel extraction and was hospitalized and immobilized for three month. Because she lost the abilites to sit up, stand, walk, and even lift the consensus was that she would be in rehab for weeks if not months due to the nature of her disabilities. Good Sheppard proved those assumptions to be wrong in a big way. Every aspect from admissions to discharge were perfectly executed. Admissions; perfect and stress free. Prompt return calls with a positive attitude. Nursing staff knew their "$h/t" and didn't just pretend to care... they did care. Doctors always made themselves available and/or returned calls quickly. They also took the time to explain things rather than just offer quick answers. PT and OT staff were incredible and weren't there as if just for a paycheck. They were all professional, dedicated, passionate, friendly, and most importantly they treated patients with respect. Not to leave out the rest of the staff such as the people who keep the facility clean and safe for patients and visitors. Little did anyone know, I paid close attention to every detail as well as the overall attitude and atmosphere. Less I forget to mention... my wife went from lying in one position on a hospital bed for 3 months to sitting, standing, and even walking IN JUST ONE WEEK!!! She cried tears of joy as she walked across the room for the first time, and I'm not afraid to say ... i did too! Most places can provide therapy on their own good time and under their own guidelines. Good Sheppard raises the bar and standards which makes Good Sheppard the only choice for rehabilitation no matter the disability. In summation, Don't Just Settle for any rehab, rather Insist on Good Sheppard.... They got you!
Very nice facility, super fancy, like a high-end hotel. The therapists, PA's, and nursing staff deserve 5 stars, they were great. Dr Daley, who was in charge of running it when I was there, deserves ZERO stars. He was very unprofessional and petty with me. I raised very specific concerns and issues with him to a number of different staff and always got the exact same answer, "Oh, everybody usually loves him!". I waited to post this because I assumed I would hear from them, never did. That tells me they really don't care much about the patients. If I ever need a rehab hospital again, I will only go back there if he is off the staff and had nothing to do with me. Added 1-6 In response to your answer, why would I reach out to you now? To what point? If you don't know exactly who I am after giving very specific and legitimate complaints to at least a half dozen of your staff, including PA's, CRNP's, and RN's, with ZERO response from your facility of any kind, you have unbelievably bad management. Why would nobody ever reach out to me?! Absolutely ridiculous.
