How We Care Arts works.
We Care Arts is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities through art and community engagement. Founded in 1983 by Terry Schalnat, the organization operates from Kettering, Ohio and has established itself as a resource for art therapy and creative skill development.
The organization serves approximately 1,300 individuals annually across more than 20 off-site locations throughout the greater Dayton area. We Care Arts is a true gem in the community! Over 40 years of serving individuals with developmental disabilities, substance abuse disorders and mental health diagnoses.

I think that a place that helps people with disabilities and gives them the opportunity to be creative and make new friends is great. The different kinds of art in the shop makes great gifts or maybe even something you might keep for yourself.

Amazing staff and teachers for individuals with disabilities and they treat everyone the same but let our creativity be different as indavulal artists and wecare has no set deadlines or times to have your stuff turned in like middle or highschool art does

I'm a client here at We Care Arts. It is a great place to come even if you don't know how to do art. I go mostly for the people, interaction and positivity.
