I am extremely disappointed with my experience with this preschool and feel compelled to share this for other parents, especially those with children who have disabilities. Earlier this year, my daughter and I toured the school and had a very positive initial experience. We discussed her needs in detail, including the fact that she uses a wheelchair and were advised by the service coordinator, Jasmine, that she would likely need an aide in the classroom. I was fully on board with this and eager to move forward with enrollment for May. From that point on, the communication and follow-through completely broke down. I was contacted by someone from the preschool regarding obtaining an aide but was told my daughter would need to qualify for long-term care. After following up with my DDD service coordinator, I was informed that my daughter does not qualify and has already been denied multiple times. I relayed this information back to the preschool staff member, who then stopped communicating altogether. No follow-up, no guidance, nothing. I then reached out to the main service coordinator at the preschool, who told me she would look into the situation and follow up with me. She never did. After waiting about a month with no communication, I called the school myself, only to find out she had gone on maternity leave and would not return until July. This was never communicated to me, despite the fact that she knew we were planning to enroll my daughter in May. Even more concerning, I was told that there were no notes in my daughter’s file and that no one else at the school, including the director, knew anything about her case or how to proceed. I was essentially told to wait until July because no one else knew how to navigate the DDD system or assist us. As a result of this lack of communication, organization and accountability, my daughter lost her opportunity to attend preschool as planned. This has also directly impacted our family, as I had to step away from my full-time job and now have to scramble to find alternative arrangements for her therapies and care. For a school that works with children who may require additional support, this level of disorganization is unacceptable. Parents rely on clear communication and follow-through, especially when coordinating services like aides and therapy. Unfortunately, this experience has been the opposite. I would strongly advise other parents, particularly those with children who have special needs, to ask detailed questions about communication, case management and backup support before committing to this program because they are very quick to drop the ball here.

My daughter Tricia attended a first-ever UCP of Southcentral AZ Prom Event in Scottsdale. Any opportunity to dress up fancy schmancy and meet new friends is her forté. To boot she said she watched a marriage proposal. Thank you UCP for special night out!

I have used the services from UCP for 15 years, for both of my children. I have always been very happy with the providers I have. I also love my coordinator , Tammy who always attends my kids home meetings.
