I recently saw an employee of yours slander and disrespect a dead man. This is disgusting behavior that cannot be tolerated. Jenna needs to go
They really can't emphasize the term "movement" in their mission statement yet. After an appointment today and recalling the recent Lewiston church of needles I have a much better understanding of why this place is so awful. They're viewing everyone as a lifelong client. Being an NGO they are free to forget it's only meant to be a 2 year program. Avoid this place like the plague if you're self sufficient! That's not what the elm St is about.
This place is ridiculous. I had to show up three times without an appointment before they would even let me schedule an appointment. I just had to show up with needs three times before they would take me on as a patient... Then when I do, when I finally get a nurse practitioner to work with me, She said she can't help me and she's quitting in 2 weeks... Okay thank you for getting in between me and the other provider who I was going to see instead of you... A month goes by and I go to see the next provider... And she puts me back on a medication that my last psychiatrist had me on that didn't work... But oh well if you have to accept what they do if you want any treatment at all, if you reject the one medication/change that they are currently suggesting that day, You are difficult. You can go home and you can come back in a month to try again. They will give you one suggestion of a medication change, And if you don't like it go home, Wait a month and then try again when you're ready to be more cooperative... That's basically how they treat people. Same as every other psychiatry office in Portland. I don't know what the problem is with psychiatrists considering that they all share records now, I don't know why each and every psychiatrist I go to seems to think that if they prescribe me the medication it will suddenly work whereas it didn't work with the last prescriber... It's like they all have to see for themselves, And I have to go months in between appointments. So while this medication isn't working or is hurting me I have to just suck it up... I'm almost too afraid to try and do anything else to advocate for myself, The last psychiatrist I saw I literally kicked me out of her services because I said the medication she was prescribing me wasn't working each and every time I went in, because she kept prescribing me the wrong medications (giving me a mood stabilizer instead of an antidepressant, claiming that they work better than an antidepressant... Wrong) If you want healthcare in Portland or anywhere, Good luck because this seems to be my experience no matter where I go
I’ve seen spurwink workers in the adult behavioral program attempting to instruct their clients how to swim without being in the pool themselves. No, the client was not registered for a swim class. The workers were physical with the client & the workers were not willing to find another task more safe. The lifeguard had to step in and assist. I had thought Spurwink was a hands-off program. I would not recommend this program.
Zero stars. They have partaken in medical kidnapping of a child and are withholding the child from the family after being given extensive evidence against any abuse. This establishment and any others destroying families and traumatizing children should be fined, closed and legally responsibly for all therapy for families and children effected, lost wages, lawyer fees, and emotional/physical distresses caused. Anyone working for this place should be ASHAMED.
