Port View Preparatory

Port View Preparatory is a non-public school certified by the California Department of Education that serves students in kindergarten through age 22 with developmental and physical disabilities. Founded by Dr. Edward Miguel and Dr. Melaura Erickson-Tomaino, the organization operates two main campuses—one in Tustin with 9 classrooms and one in Ontario with 7 classrooms—serving families across Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, and Riverside counties.

The school offers a comprehensive range of evidence-based interventions including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, specialized academic instruction, speech and language pathology, occupational therapy, vocational and career development, and social skills training through the PEERS program. All clinical services are delivered by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA), including doctorate-level practitioners (BCBA-D), alongside licensed speech-language pathologists and occupational therapists.

Port View Preparatory distinguishes itself through its integrated service model, combining classroom-based education with therapeutic intervention in a single setting. The school emphasizes structured, data-driven programs designed to help students develop academic skills, functional independence, social competence, and community integration. The founders have also established The PREP Group, an educational consulting arm that extends their expertise to other districts and organizations seeking to improve outcomes for students with special needs.
