Candidate Review: After a phone interview with this company I was advised to hold and wait for a call from the hiring manager (within 2-3 days). I was even advised to purchase and read a certain book to help with interview skills - I bought it and finished reading it quickly. The week passed by, I reached out to follow up with Hire Velocity, questioned if the position was still open. I was told yes, and they would follow up within a small time frame. Again, thrown into a black hole and never heard anything. Don't tell a candidate they are a great match for something and act like it's locked in. If an opportunity is lost, follow up with people so they can move on with other offers. Remember your candidates have mouths to feed too. Be conscientious and treat candidates with a little more respect.
