I just started using this software and I find it easy to use. It has a huge knowledge base library, and their reports are very helpful. While a big part of the use is very manual, I really like you can use some features in different ways as needed. Having mentioned all that, their support could be better, and options could be wider.

I'm new to Paycor as of June 1. So far, it hasn't been the worst. I have definitely encountered worse payroll software. Settings and options are often not where I would put them, so it can be a little hard to navigate.

Sad to see customer service has degraded to the point which I leave such a poor review. Support outsoured overseas and so scripted that support reps do not have to think, just recite SOS. I was just told I am not an authorized user of the company I own. Support rep magically discovered I am THE authorized user when I insisted she check for the third time. Exhausting to deal with them. Zero results from the call. Will definately switch providors at year end.

Sadly, would give ZERO or negative stars if I could. Have been with Paycor for many years now. Was given recommendation to go with them back then, & was happy with initial service. They have gone downhill SO much since then. Was hoping that once merger under Paychex was done, that service would improve. Buyout was a year ago, & service has only gotten worse since then. We need a custom report once a year to get Gross wages for all employees for our annual workman's comp audit. Previous years, I have called, & they have generated report while on phone with me, takes them 1 to 2 minutes to do this, & this is with double checking dates (April 10 previous year to April 9 of current year, to coincide with our insurance policy dates). Sent message through Paycor system over a week ago with ZERO response, so tried sending 2nd message. Also called this past Monday. When calling, prepare to spend 1 to 2 hours on the phone being on hold, explaining the problem, & waiting to get resolution. Paycor person Monday tried to generate report for me but said that Paycor system kept glitching, so he finally told me to hang up, that he would work with IT crew to get report, & email it to me by end of day Monday. I never received an email, & never heard back from him, at all. He had also told me that he would add Report Builder to my permissions, so that in future, I would be able to generate this report myself. He told me to look for that feature in my account within 24 to 48 hours. I waited 48 hours until Wednesday, to give max time, but NOTHING changed in my account. Called AGAIN Wednesday, talked to TWO new people. First one finally decided that she couldn't help me. Second person, he said that Report Builder had NOT been added to our account like the guy on Monday had promised. This new person said that he could NOT generate the report for me himself, like in all previous years. Both gentlemen I spoke with knew that deadline to submit our Workmand's Comp audit was April 20, & I was running out of time. The person on Wednesday told me that HE would add Report Builder to our account, & that I would see it online within 24 to 48 hours, but that I should go ahead & check the next day, Thursday after 24 hours. Checked Thursday, nothing new, checked again today, Friday, allowing max 48 hours, & STILL nothing. Shocker. Called again this morning & got another different person on the phone, had just started explaining to him situation & what I had tried & been promised to this point, with no results. About 60 seconds in, that guy HUNG UP ON ME! What kind of business is this anymore? Shameful. And I had thanked all of the people I had spoken with, called them all "sir" & "ma'am," & told them that I was very frustrated with the situation, but never believe in screaming over the phone, or cussing, or calling anyone names, but that I REALLY needed a resolution for this time-sensitive issue. I also mentioned that we are on Autopay, so our monthly payments have all been made on time, for Paycor services. I finally got an email back last night from the Paycor e-messaging system, saying that I needed Report Builder added to my account, & that request had been submitted, so he was CLOSING our case & marking it as "resolved!" I replied to him that it absolutely was NOT resolved, & that nothing had been done, that Report Builder had already been promised by THREE differrent people, with the max time frame for the changes having all passed, & still NO changes to our account. I already filed a complaint online with the BBB, am writing this review today, will also file complaint with State Attorney General's office, & am looking for a new Payroll company. Completely atrocious customer service.

Paycor will listen to what you need, ignore everything you said, and charge you higher and higher fees for services you don't want or need for as long as you'll let them. Calling them is tedious, they'll make promises of credits, and then not give you the credits. They'll promise to make changes, delete services you don't need, and then continue to charge you for them. The final straw for me was when they "realized" they had been giving me a service that I wasn't paying for, no one in customer service could even tell me what it was for, and when I tried to quit I found out there was a 30 day notice requirement, so I couldn't even leave in time to avoid the charge (which I still don't know what is was, but it cost $250). Every promise you receive will be a lie. Don't use Paycor!
