My husband was hospitalized and when he was released they set him up with Westbrook. He went to his intake appointment and they keep telling him he doesn't meet the criteria to get help from them. This is why people don't get help. You'll be the reason my husband kills himself because even with a BHU referring him to Westbrook it's not enough. Maybe actually care about the people seeking help. I'm beyond livid. We will find a facility that actually cares, and will actually put their foot forward in helping the clients that are referred to them. HIGHLY disappointed. Beyond LIVID.

On May 21, 2025 I brought my child into Camden Clark ER due to her threatening suicide. The "crisis counselor" from Westbrook came in and said none of the facilities had a bed available the only one that did was 4hrs away. I told her I did not want her going there. At 9pm she came back to tell me my daughter would not be transported anywhere until the following morning so at that time I sent my father who drove me down home. At midnight the crisis counselor came back to inform me that I need to transport my daughter immediately. I asked why an ambulance wasn't taking her. She left and then came back to inform me that an ambulance would take her but I needed to follow behind to fill out paperwork. At that point my husband was on his way down but was still 2hrs away. When I told her that, she told me if I was unable to do it then she would have to call CPS. You don't tell a mother who is attempting to get help for her child that you're gonna call CPS. So my daughter was transferred to a facility that I did not want her going to because I was given no choice whatsoever. And now I am stuck with a $5000.00 bill from that facility. You might want to try to re-train that "Crisis Counselor" or she might want to find a different job! But I definitely do NOT recommend Westbrook for ANYTHING!!!!! If I could give you no stars I would!

This is the worst mental health service provider in state and it’s the fault of the front office. The first few months of service, I’ve had several appointments missed because the office scheduled them incorrectly. Additionally, they call over and over again trying to reschedule appointments that are already scheduled, making it even more confusing. Then god help you when you need to get your prescriptions filled. If you don’t called a week in advance, you won’t get it by the end of the week. For anything. And don’t even try to call the prescription line on Friday or weekends, they won’t get back to you, even if the pharmacy calls to fill it. Good luck anyone, I hope you aren’t suicidal, because they suck, through and through.

I became a patient of Westbrook in about 2012 and had years of great service for mental health care. I left around 2016 or so and I just had an appointment today to become a patient again. My experience was horrible. My provider was insensitive, made faces of disgust and judgement, dismissive, and ignorant. I believe this facility is no longer a therapeutic environment and their main focus is addiction and they seem to have little respect for that demographic. I will be going somewhere else. I have wasted my time and money but I know my worth and I do not deserve to be treated like cattle.
