I signed up for two assignments through Nomad and ultimately lost both opportunities, along with significant income, due to their inefficient and confusing credentialing process. Throughout the experience, communication was inconsistent, last-minute changes were common, and there seemed to be very little coordination between internal teams. As a person of color, I also felt that certain interactions reflected bias and a lack of cultural awareness or sensitivity. This contributed to a work environment that did not feel supportive or equitable. It appears to be a racist/prejudiced organization If you value transparency, timely onboarding, and fair treatment, I would be cautious about using Nomad. My experience was disorganized, frustrating, and resulted in preventable setbacks.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I took in assignment moved across the country to New York City paid for my three months of rent was supposed to start work today and they told me one day ago that my contract is canceled because they failed to submit my work history verification by the date requested by the facility. I am now stuck in a city with no money paid for rent and have no job. The lack of professionalism and communication has been outrageous. I have been traveling as a nurse for 10 years and never experienced anything like this. This company is absolutely horrible and would definitely not recommend working with them.

I’ve had a horrible experience, I drove from Florida to Massachusetts to start an assignment on 7/1/24. It’s now 7/11 I still haven’t started. I was told it was a delay with Quest drug screen. My first test I took in Florida was resulted on 7/9. I was told the specimen wasn’t human. The second test I took in Ny came back fine, the third I took yesterday. I’m not making any money, 1600 miles from home. Paying for air b and b food etc. And I still have to get back home. Depression and anxiety is through the roof. I want off this crazy ride.

I’ve worked across the country as a traveler for many years with many different staffing agencies. I know the business and what to expect. Nomad Healthcare has an interesting approach to staffing but my experience working with them as a traveler leaves a lot to be desired. Originally, their “hands off” website and way you can apply for jobs seemed neat and efficient. What I came to realize is that travelers need the human to human relationships developed with a real recruiter. It’s that simple. As travelers, we need to chat with a real human who is actively looking for a job that fits our needs. The A.I. approach Nomad Uses seems empty and hollow. You’ll apply for jobs and suddenly your job will be closed by a Nomad Navigator without warning. Additionally a lot of information about the job is incorrect. I found myself personally reaching out the HR department of the job I applied for with many times the facility not even needing a traveler! Crazy! Anyway, thank you for reading my review about at real world experience with Nomad Healthcare.

It takes DAYS for them to even review your application, then days to ask for more information. Will not go out of their way to help you get a job. After 2 months of applying for multiple jobs that I'm well qualified for, a recruiter from another company got me 2 job interviews...same 2 jobs I originally asked Nomad to submit to. And the recruiter had better rates.
