I want to like JustWorks and in some ways, they make life easier. But I can’t get over being lied to about insurances I could offer my company at least 3 times, being debited the wrong amount for fees (over $4000 extra, then, then having $8000 debited from my account without notice by mistake. Just Works takes 0 responsibility. You get an “oops” and “sorry.” They love to fine me for any mistake I make. But I’ve yet to get a real apology. I’m stuck with them for a year sadly, thanks to the lies. Don’t trust the sales people- they tell you what they think you want to hear.

Pretty bad. They do payroll well, but they are awful with health insurance, so don't believe them when they say they will take care of it for you. They just informed us on Dec 30th that something was wrong with our paperwork and our employees will not be covered on January 1st. Imagine going to your employees and telling them they have no health insurance, pretty terrible, I expect some resignations over it. I'm looking for a replacement for Just Works now.

The sales team there did a very good job when engaging me to do business. Since then, the service has been horrendous. My international contractors haven’t been paid within 3 to 4 weeks after my account Is debited

The onboarding process was confusing, and support was slow to respond when problems came up. Several key features didn’t function as advertised — particularly around benefits enrollment and payroll setup — leading to delays and compliance headaches. For a company that positions itself as a full-service HR and payroll solution, the execution feels sloppy and disjointed. Communication is reactive, not proactive, and the costs don’t justify the level of service provided. I expected a partner that would simplify my administrative burden; instead, I spent more time troubleshooting their system than managing my actual business. I would advise other small businesses to thoroughly test alternatives before committing. There are better, more transparent providers out there.

This company frequently makes changes to their platform without notifying customers, which causes unnecessary confusion. While the phone support staff are polite and somewhat helpful, the overall management feels disorganized and unprofessional. The software itself is unreliable — it often logs you out in the middle of tasks, forcing you to redo your work. To make matters worse, they hold staff meetings in the middle of the day and don’t answer phone calls during that time, which is incredibly inconvenient for customers who need timely support. Given their 3.2-star rating, it’s clear I’m not the only one facing these issues. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone.
