Read this before hiring TriNet. Absolutely worst experience ever with PEO. Their service is awful. Our rep was on leave the entire time we were signed up for services and the person covering her was also MIA... They don't honor their legal agreements about rate caps and try to push through a nearly 60% increase on first annual renewal. They told us their legal department didn't think the rate cap was properly written and told us to lawyer up. We will definitely do this since we feel they are acting in a way that should be publicly outed and shamed. They don't honor their agreements. A huge lack of integrity. Cancel TriNet!

TriNet is pretty expensive, that is true, but for the size of company we are (12 employees), and the fact that we are 100% remote, we're treating the expense as a full time HR/payroll employee, which means they're a little bit less expensive that actually hiring someone. However, if you don't know anything about HR starting out, you will experience quite a bit of frustration. If you already know something about HR practices, then you'll know the right questions to ask. And speaking of questions, if you go with TriNet, be prepared to have to ask the same question at least three times. The general support folks we have are lovely, but do not usually answer those questions - they send them on to the tax team or the HR team for clarification. Those teams never answer the question I ask. They always answer something I didn't ask and they make zero attempt at understand the help I need. Then I ask the same question a couple more times, and to be clear, I work very hard at being precise in my language, but it always takes at least three attempts at asking the same question to get the answer. This is incredibly frustrating and it wastes quite a bit of time. I am investigating alternatives to TriNet.

Please don’t do any business with them! One of the worst customer services I have ever experienced. They forfeited my funds of my FSA account without properly communicating with me or the HR department of the company that I worked for, that the benefits end with the end of the month when an employee leaves the company. Such a scam! Hope you enjoy your coffee in the morning on me and all the other FSA funds that you have forfeited for the use “towards the cost of administering the account”.

Trinet is a scam. They have very non-transparent pricing. With all of their reports, it is next to impossible to understand what you are paying. It turns out they are ripping off their customers. My monthly service fee has more than doubled in 3 years from $500 per month to $1100 per month. My worker's compensation has increased to $1400 per month per employee when the maximum payout is $1099 per week--most companies have a maximum salary when calculating workers compensation. My medical premiums have increased from $48,000 per year per employee to $150,000 per year per employee which I believe is a direct violation of the affordable care act. Trinet has many reports and emails and alerts but you can't find these hidden prices any where. Avoid them at all costs because on top of these scam prices, their service is horrible.

Worst Customer experience ever had. Just the past year I had to spend hundreds of hours to follow up on FSA reimbursements both for my employees and myself. Even simple task as life change status was a problematic experience with them. It took me a month and dozen of phone calls to resolve the issue. Would strongly advice to look for other providers before engaging with them.
