I worked at PwC Egypt in the FS department, and from a technical and learning perspective, the experience was very strong. I gained solid technical knowledge, improved my skills significantly, and was exposed to complex and valuable work. However, my experience within the team was challenging. The work environment was highly stressful, with limited support and encouragement. Certain senior team members had a very harsh management style, which created continuous pressure and negatively affected my mental well-being. Despite raising concerns more than once, performance seemed to be prioritized over leadership style and team behavior. This made the experience mentally exhausting, to the extent that I had to seek professional psychological support. Overall, PwC offers excellent learning opportunities, but the team culture and people management can vary significantly and may have a serious impact on employees’ mental health.
