Avoid this company and the sister company, Checkr. I used GoodHire for self background check, which apparently turns it over to Checkr to do the actual background check. Customer support is a bot that puts you in an endless loop of inefficiency. Support tickets are responded to by what seems to be a bot as the responses don't address written problem. There is no phone or live agent support. It is impossible to resolve my issue.

Update: the link provided doesn’t work - form won’t submit after many attempts. It’s been almost two months without getting a live person to help me. I am an employer/customer and have been unable to get in touch with customer service since last week. Phone number says "no agents available" and disconnects after directing me to the website to contact there. The website form is only for new sales inquiries. Need help ASAP. Is Goodhire still in business?

I received offer before they run check, still wasted months for a correctable report. Finally I move forward to another employer who needs my service urgently. You should stay away from those employers who choose good hire. No body will pay your waiting time. They are NOT familiar with labor law.

A had a "potential" job offer and they use GoodHire for employment verification and background check. They send an "email" and I tried to complete this process on my iphone. That was my first mistake. I had so many error messages that I had to call GoodHire. That was my second mistake. After over an hour on the phone with a representative and about 7 additional email links sent; I was at wits end and upset. I don't think I've ever "re-entered" more information (including my social security number) just to get more errors. You would "think" that this type of HR screening company would have their program steam-lined for use with today's cell phones...not so much. I entered my name in correctly, the GoodHire program continued to default to 2 middle names and the representative at GoodHire could not get the program reset. Also- the job I was offered was withdrawn by the employer 4 days later and GoodHire continued with background process to include contacting my current employer almost a full week after the job was withdrawn (and reposted to the internet).

They cost me a job. Background Check sent on 11/08/2021. New estimated completion date was 11/30. I called GH and rep told me on 11/30 that Travis County is backlogged on background check requests and told me to call back in the morning tomorrow to escalate if Travis County has not responded by end of day. I contacted GoodHire this morning and a different rep stated they cannot escalate because they no longer use that method and that I have to wait. I called the Travis County clerk myself this morning and the clerk stated they have not received a request for me from GoodHire. I will now lose my apartment and job offer due to GoodHire's lack of timely follow through. Don't use this company because they're incompetent.
