What service modalities does Crossroads Center for Children offer?
Crossroads Center for Children offers clinic-based, in-home, and community-based services.
Crossroads Center for Children is a non-profit school and ABA clinic located in Schenectady, New York, serving children with autism spectrum disorder and developmental disabilities. Founded in 1998, the organization has grown to serve approximately 120 students from 20 school districts across eight counties in upstate New York. The organization operates two complementary service models: a school-based program serving students ages 2-12 with classroom instruction, preschool, and school-age programming; and an ABA Clinic established in 2014 that provides individualized therapy sessions using Board Certified Behavior Analysts and Registered Behavior Technicians. Therapy sessions primarily occur at the clinic location in Schenectady, though home-based and community-based services may be available under certain circumstances. Crossroads Center for Children emphasizes parent involvement and family support. The organization offers structured parent training sessions where families learn effective strategies for working with their child at home and in the community. Training topics include managing challenging behaviors, developing play and social skills, understanding current research, and making informed educational decisions. Beyond ABA services, the organization provides related services including speech therapy and occupational therapy for children demonstrating developmental delays in fine motor skills, adaptive development, or sensory processing. The organization's mission is to prepare individuals with and without developmental disabilities for life success within their family and community.
Crossroads Center for Children delivers individualized ABA therapy in a center, in the home and in the community, built around each child’s goals.

My daughter goes here we absolutely love them
We absolutely love the staff at Crossroads! Our son has been going there for daycare and has absolutely loved it. He's been so excited to go every day. Big shout out to Danielle, Annie and Michelle for caring so much for the kids and making it a fun and nurturing environment! Our sons speech improved incredibly within a very short time frame, and we are so upset to have to leave due to moving away from the area. Highly recommend them!
Our son showed signs of being developmentally delayed with regards to his speech. Early Intervention was able to help us get placement at Crossroads for the start of preschool. In the 15 months since starting, our son went from almost completely non-verbal to using full sentences and expressive language. He adores his teachers and special instructors, the classroom structure is impeccable, and the staff is a collection of the most dedicated educators around. My family has gotten more out of this experience than we could have ever dreamed. 10 out of 5 stars!
Great staff all around. My son has made huge gains since enrolling in this school. Thank you crossroads
The teachers kept touching me too rough. didnt like it
