I interviewed at two different sites for senior finance leadership roles, which required a total of six full days of travel. These trips were made at the company’s request. I submitted my expense report promptly with complete documentation. More than four months later, I still have not been reimbursed, despite multiple follow-ups. During the process, I sent over 30 personalized thank-you emails to interviewers and leaders involved. Not a single person had the courtesy to respond with an update, acknowledgment, or closure regarding the role. After completing the interviews, I was effectively ghosted with no communication of any kind. Based on my experience, the organization advertises CFO roles but appears to be seeking controllers rather than true strategic CFOs. The level of authority, decision-making, and professionalism demonstrated during the process does not align with what is expected of a senior executive leadership role. In my opinion, the company’s approach to finance leadership and candidate treatment places it well behind peers such as HCA, Tenet, or CHS. Failure to reimburse expenses and failure to communicate reflect poorly on basic business practices. I would strongly caution senior finance professionals before engaging in this interview process.
During my sister’s recent admission at your psychiatric hospital in Dearborn, MI, I encountered significant challenges with case management communication and coordination. Upon admission on Thursday, I was assigned a social worker as the primary point of contact for patient advocacy questions. However, when I called the following day to obtain required FMLA paperwork, I learned the social worker was on vacation with no designated coverage. I was informed that different social workers would be seeing my sister daily, but no one could provide contact information or clarify how to route paperwork requests. When I called the nursing unit seeking basic information about treatment plans and updates on my sister’s care, I encountered resistance rather than assistance. The staff appeared frustrated by my calls and suggested my sister tell me to stop contacting the hospital. Despite being instructed to contact the social worker during intake, I was unable to identify a clear point of contact. On Friday evening, I escalated my concerns to a shift supervisor and was assured of a callback that evening, which did not occur. On Saturday, after explaining my frustration, I was again assured of a call, and this time someone did follow up. Eileen’s response was notably professional and helpful, she offered to obtain reading glasses for my sister, addressing a legitimate need. However, the implementation was problematic. When I followed up the next day to confirm my sister had received the glasses, the nursing staff denied they had been provided and appeared dismissive of Eileen’s commitment. Only after persistent inquiry did we learn that Eileen had indeed sent the glasses, but the nursing staff had not communicated this to either my sister or me. Throughout this experience, I had to repeatedly advocate for basic information that should have been readily available: treatment plans, medication lists, and psychiatric updates. Communication gaps between departments and with family appeared to be systemic, and the suggestion that my sister discourage me from calling seemed counterproductive to quality care and patient advocacy. While individual staff members like Eileen demonstrated genuine commitment to patient care, the overall experience reflected coordination and communication challenges that created unnecessary stress during a vulnerable time for both my sister and our family.
Absolutely useless and unhelpful. I have tried to simply change the credit card on file on an account for months now and no one will help me online, via the portal, via email, via the phone... nothing. Yikes. Too bad I have no choice but to deal with them (while 3 months postpartum).
I’m being denied in the state of Pennsylvania with a chronic illness and could drop at any point and no one cares and new to this state and I’m being left stranded in a place that says they care
One of their Hospitals in Nevada (Henderson Hospital) is a for profit only. People are customers not patients. Had a bad experience and no one wants to discuss it with me.
