If I can, -1 would be the rating and this is fully towards Laura the Nursery Social worker. A definition of Social worker- A social worker is a trained professional dedicated to helping individuals, families, and communities prevent and cope with everyday challenges, life crises, and systemic hardships. They provide counseling, connect people with vital public resources, and advocate for social justice and client well-being. LAURA OBVIOUSLY FAILED AT DOING HER JOB. I was there with my daughter for 4 months. In the beginning apparently because there were no rooms available in the Nursery Floor (she was 5 months old) they had given us a room in Toddlers. After a week, it came to my attention that there was a room available in Nursery. Once I asked to be moved, the SOCIAL WORKER Laura was giving us such a hard time and asking us what is the reason for our 5 MONTH old be moved to nursery, where their are other other babies her age btw, and the obvious answer- Development. So once that was out of the way we finally got moved upstairs. June- We had a meeting with the doctor so-called Social worker Laura, Speech therapist and Nutritionist. Besides everything else that was said during the meeting. This evil person decided she would give us a discharge date. MY DAUGHTER WAS STILL NOT EATING. She (Laura) said we have a month to learn how to put the NG tube in and leave. If anyone knows what an NG tube is. Its a tube that goes through the nostril into the stomach. My husband and I explained to her we were NOT MEDICALLY qualified or ready yet for that step. She insisted we have no choice basically, we have to learn it by July 3rd. That NG tube should be changed every 30-90 days. So you are telling me she wanted us to learn how to place the NG tube when we weren’t mentally or emotionally prepared. She did NOT have our back she never had empathy for anyone. After that meeting I personally told her - DO NOT APPROACH me. Because I prefer to stay away from Toxic people, she was VERY toxic. She liked to provoke parents so they would loose temper and patients. I was told by MANY parents that she was very pushy and not at all helpful. After telling her to stay away from me she still managed to approach me. I had to ask the nurse manager to please let her know to not come into the room to speak to me at all please speak directly to my husband. Push comes to shove. My husband and I were extremely mentally, physically and emotionally drained being in the hospital for 4 months. So we eventually learned how to place the NG tube. Please explain to me why when we are getting discharged we find out some of the supplies that are needed for the NG tube ARE NOT INCLUDED/COVERED by insurance. How is it possible that as a Social worker who pushes parents out of the building for discharge, she didn’t know that some supplies were not covered??? Lastly- I just want everyone to know, there are CNAs and Nurses in this building, even security and front receptionists that do a BETTER JOB at being a social worker then this lady Laura. She is SO NEGATIVE towards parents and their babies. St Marys, please do better. Parents need the support when they are here with their babies.

I signed up with St. Mary’s back in October 2025. I am a special education teacher with 17 years experience working with medically fragile children As an early intervention service provider, SEIT Teacher and a school age teacher. I was hoping to get ours as there are so many children waiting for therapist. Having worked at multiple agencies for many years I find it unrealistic that there have been no children in my area for me to be placed on a case. Can’t help, but think that only the long-term therapist are being used for cases

The best locomotor training program for spinal cord injuries. The team is so uplifting, caring and positive. They really try their best to get their patients back to walking after such a traumatic and terrible injury. Our family is so grateful for them.

While I appreciate this commitment, I acknowledge that some challenges may arise during the discharge process and when accessing ongoing care. Perfection is unattainable, but learning from experiences is essential for growth. For instance, I encountered a few discrepancies that highlighted areas for improvement. I encourage everyone to continue advocating for the necessary changes, as this can lead to a more effective healthcare experience for all.

If I could leave a zero star I would. My sister is in this hospital and it is always some type of negligence on their part that we come across when we go see her. She has fungus on her foot due to them leaving her foot splints on for more than 5 hours a day. Every time we go she is soiled for long periods of time. We feel as if the staff neglect her most of the time. They only rush to attend to her when my mother or any other family comes by. It is always an issue and multiple small injuries that occur and they never can explain them. We are fed up already.
