I drive for Uber which has its own issues Impacting driver's income. Uber uses hireright. Uber discloses on the behalf of high rite that background checks can take from same day , up 3 days business days. Then when I call uber , they say it could take up 5 business days meaning hireright's possible disclosure of the time it takes is grossly inaccurate. I've already been driving for uber 9 years. Instead of beginning the background, check a week before the annual back Ground check ends. They wait for the annual background check to expire, Keep in mind. This is business days, not wait. And so I got deplatformed on a Saturday MeaningI can't drive during the weekend Which completely impacts my income. It feels retaliatory for something. It's already friday making it not only 5 business days, But now I haven't driven 7 days and it will be nine days over a background check for a company i've driven for 9 years. This is so unacceptable.

They showed up an arrest from 32 yrs ago to employer. Also said I had 12 points on more. If I had 12 points I wouldn't have a license. I got another job before I was turned down. They wanted me to prove accident wasn't my fault for 4 points. I don't have time for this as I have a job now. I called police dept they said they reported it to state as not my fault 0 points. I just got state farm in June of last yr. How would they insure me when license is supposed to be suspended

I applied for a job. Went thru 2 interviews. I was welcomed aboard. They started my background check. The hiring company uses HireRight. The problem was my residency. Since I couldn't remember the dates of my previous residency the application couldn't go thru. Yesterday I called, I was on hold for 16 minutes then the call hung up. I went into their website, contacted them they their chat portal. The CSR (Jahnomi) couldn't even understand what my delema was. Told him twice. He told me I have to reach out to the hiring mgr at the place I wanted to work for. I did. She told me the dates didn't have to be exact. I told her I guessed to the best of my memory and it still didn't accept my answers. I told the HireRight csr thank you for your time. I am done. 4 hours wasted! After all this, I went on trust pilot to read reviews on HireRight, they are rated ONE star. So no job. Such a disappointment.

Worst background check company to hire. People don’t know what they are doing. They have an illogical explanation for having a document and than still they come back with same set of question. They keep coming back because they don’t know how to interpret employer id which is a simple google search. Here main goal of people is to do the job so that people jobs get delayed. They are too slow to respond. Not hiring for employment again ever.

Only because ZERO isn't an option. I like to give credit where credit is due but there is NO credit I can give this company. My background includes law enforcement and military experience and I have NEVER felt so crummy as this company made the background credit experience. I've been cleared for "Secret" clearances in the military faster than this company worked. I started my "journey" with this company in February 2025. It wasn't concluded until May 2025. THREE months! Granted I quit my job before the background was completed, that's on me. But I never in my wildest dreams thought it would take a background company 90 days to run a background. I got so much runaround with this company. They had me calling the credit bureaus multiple times to only find out the credit bureaus sent the information and was waiting on HireRight. It was like a dog chasing its tail. The worst part was the communication barrier. I don't know where the call takers are but my best guess/researched shows somewhere in the Philippines. You get what you pay for, I guess. I don't understand that since it shows Headquarters and offices all over the USA. I don't even fault the call takers, they are speaking an entire different language. I blame the people who hire cheaper labor instead of getting someone who can speak English as their FIRST language. The second most annoying thing about this company is the RIDICULOUS hold times and music. You think someone is about to pick up your call and NOPE, there's a pause of silence and then the music starts over again. I spent easily an hour + every time I called just to talk to someone. Once I do get someone, we deal with the language barrier and usually get "we are working on it" type of answer. It was the most excruciating experience I've ever had. I highly would NOT recommend this company to anyone looking for background services.
