DISGRACEFUL. \ When people report harm, they deserve to be heard...not minimized, redirected, or made to feel like the system was never designed for them in the first place. I am calling for greater transparency, independent oversight, and a serious examination of how complaints are handled, because vulnerable people deserve better from the institutions meant to protect them.

Beware… the CPBAO has recently voted to substantially reduce the amount of training to become a psychologists. Despite overwhelming negative feedback from the profession, the public and prominent mental health hospitals and organizations. Clearly they don’t care at all about their public safety mandate. I’ve had terrible experiences with master’s level therapists. I didn’t realize they did not have a high level of knowledge and skill until I started seeing my new psychologist who has a PhD. The quality of care is substantially better with my new Psychologist. The title “psychologist” used to mean the public could feel confident that they were getting a highly trained professional. With these changes the onus is now on us to ask the person what and how much training they have. If you needed help or needed a diagnostic assessment, would you want someone with 2 years of school or someone with 6-9. I’ll take the more experienced person thanks. Shame on you CBPAO for dismantling safeguards and calling it “modernization”

Horrible ICRC (complaints review committee). I was mercilessly and callously abused by a psychologist, to the point where I got stitches because of her, and they didn't do anything about her despite clear evidence that I shown indicating the severity of the abuse. She walked away without any action taken against her whatsoever. The ICRC and the college do not care about your wellbeing, they only care about the wellbeing of the public, so unless a psychologist poses a SERIOUS risk to the public, your complaint and appeal stands no chance in succeeding

The CPBAO thinks it’s acceptable for their members to send unsolicited, abusive, judgemental psychoanalysis to people. They think it’s ok for a therapist to try and pinpoint someone’s insecurities to bully them with. They think it’s ok for a member disparage other therapists who are members of the board. It seems they do not hold their therapists to the standards they claim and have no regard for members of the public (who pay a lot of money for services). I assumed members of the CPBAO would be reputable, but that’s not necessarily the case. Good luck to everyone out there and be wary of members with the initials KD. If I could zero stars I certainly would.

I expect my money that pays for these organizations to be used for the benefit of our people in this country. Not abused to go against people sharing their opinions and force them into thinking they're the problem. This organization has no credibility or respect of the people anymore. Until the leadership is changed I do not recognize the authority of this institution.
