Behavioral Health Center of Excellence

Behavioral Health Center of Excellence (BHCOE) is an international accrediting body dedicated to raising the standard of care in applied behavior analysis and behavioral health services. Founded in 2015, BHCOE has established itself as a key credentialing organization for ABA providers, helping practices meet clinical, operational, and ethical standards while enhancing quality outcomes for families and institutions.

BHCOE's core service is its accreditation program, which has been adopted by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) as Standard 201: Standards of Excellence for Applied Behavior Analysis Services. The organization also operates ADC Credentialing, launched in 2022, to streamline the credentialing process between providers and payers. Additionally, BHCOE provides continuing education programs approved by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), International Behavior Analysis Organization (IBAO), and other regulatory bodies.

As of early 2026, BHCOE was acquired by the Council of Autism Service Providers, though the accreditation brand and operations continue under the same leadership and standards. The organization operates across 47 U.S. states and seven countries, serving hundreds of accredited organizations.

Beyond accreditation, BHCOE offers the National Autism Data Registry (NADR), a benchmarking tool that helps practices measure and improve quality. The organization also provides staff training resources and consulting services to support continuous improvement in the delivery of behavioral health care.
