My son has been attending the broad street clinic since January. He goes 3xs a week and he absolutely loves it there. He is learning so much and has made so much improvement in such a short amount of time. I debated if an ABA center would be a good fit for him and I am happy that my husband and I made the decision to allow him to attend. Everyone in the clinic is so helpful and friendly, I know my son is cared for there and therapist are invested in his treatment.
Our journey with Helping Hands has been truly remarkable. When my son started here at age 3, we were hopeful but uncertain about what to expect. Fast forward to now, and the progress he’s made is incredible—he’s speaking more, eating better, and loves giving hugs to everyone! One of the things we love most is the monthly meetings with our coordinator. These meetings give us a clear picture of his progress through detailed charts and graphs, showing the days he met his goals, the days he didn’t, and the overall trends. This level of transparency helps us feel confident in the process and ensures that everyone is on the same page. What truly set Helping Hands apart for us was the facility itself—it’s clean, organized, and welcoming—and the therapists are exceptionally trained. They work together toward the goals outlined during our meetings, creating consistency and focus that makes all the difference. We’re so grateful for Helping Hands and everything they’ve done to support our son’s growth.
Helping Hands South Philly is amazing! I wish I would have found it sooner. The staff are nice and welcoming and make every child feel important! I love my childs RBT’s I could never thank them enough for all the hard work they put in everyday.
Back in April, I had a bunch of unanswered questions. Will my son ever sleep through the night, will he ever talk, will he ever get along with his siblings. He had been doing ST, OT, SA for a long time, but he needed more. His pediatrician recommended ABA services. There’s so many horror stories on the internet so I had to be picky with who to take my son to. He was never able to be watched by family or friends because of his needs and his inability to communicate. HHF changed everything. In 3 short months, my son has made so many strides. He sleeps through the night, he now eats solid foods which was a struggle because he was reluctant to try new things. He sings songs. He knows his alphabet and can identify letters. The list goes on. It was at HHF that I first heard him say bye. It was after a session that I heard him sing his first song. In the past week I heard him say mommy and I love you. The things I didn’t think were possible, became reality. Most importantly, I know my son is safe and loved. Even the people who don’t work with him love him and cheer him on. Every interaction from the moment we walk through the door is positive. And they’re always reevaluating his progress and adjusting. Focusing on what matters to me. My son doesn’t spit anymore, he plays with his younger sister more everyday, his tantrums are almost nonexistent. Every goal we’ve set for him, he’s thriving towards. If you have any doubt, come see for yourself. The moment I walked in, I knew they were special. My son who had never been away from my husband and I, felt immediately comfortable with them. They knew immediately how to handle him. He runs through the door to go inside the clinic. There’s times when he sees his rbt on the way into the clinic and he lets my hand go for his rbt’s hand. Do your baby a favor, there’s no place better than HHF.
We’re so thankful that we came across HHF during our search for an ABA provider for our son. When he was diagnosed with Autism at 20 months it was really overwhelming figuring out where to get services, what to look for and how they would interact with him, but our experience so far has been wonderful. The therapists seem very invested in his growth and from the beginning they prioritized building trust and a connection with him so that he felt safe to learn and grow.
