My 6-year-old daughter attended this center for ABA therapy and sustained a serious injury on her very first day. Another child scratched her near the eye, causing deep scratches, bleeding, and requiring urgent care. She is now on antibiotics. According to staff, the incident occurred around 5:00 PM, yet I was not informed until I arrived to pick her up one and a half hours later. During that time, my daughter was left scared and without her parent knowing what happened. When I arrived, she was crying, terrified, and traumatized. Immediate parental notification is essential whenever a child is injured, especially with injuries near the eye. I am extremely concerned about the lack of supervision, the failure to check the other child’s long nails, and the center’s communication procedures. I have requested a full written incident report, access to camera footage, and clarification about staff-to-child ratios and monitoring procedures at the time. As a result of this incident, my daughter is experiencing emotional trauma and fear related to returning to this facility. I strongly advise parents to thoroughly review this center’s safety, supervision, and emergency communication policies before enrolling their children. I expect the center to take accountability and implement corrective measures to ensure that no child is harmed in the future.
I haven’t started services yet with my son but just off your reviews alone, I’m giving it 5 stars! I am eager and excited for my son to start going to gentle care and he is currently attending a public school with a special needs program and has not made any progress. It feels my heart with joy as tears fill my eyes with all the AMAZING stories and out comes of these precious little blessings!! The staff also has been given WONDERFUL reviews which means the most to me. I’m excited and nervous but CAN’T WAIT to post my success story for such an AMAZING SCHOOL WITH AMAZING PEOPLE. It TRULY FEELS LIKE A GOD SENT. God bless EVERYONE!! 🫶🏽
This company has been a complete waste of time. If you are looking for ABA services you understand how difficult it is to find a company that will accept your insurance and once you do, the process takes forever to get it approved. My son was approved and we were given 4 different start dates and EVERY single time the “tech” that was supposed to come to the house and do the ABA therapy, they canceled THE DAY OF! As a parent you want to make sure that your child is getting everything they need, it is so stressful when things don’t work out because you feel like you are failing your child. But when you have a company that doesn’t have reliable staff and is wasting your time is absolutely irritating.
I could write a book about how GentleCare has positively impacted my family. For context, my daughter is Level 2 and was pre-verbal when she started four months ago. She’ll be turning four this month. Before coming to GentleCare, we completed a year of early intervention (ages 2–3) and then began our district’s Pre-K Autism classroom. The staff there was wonderful, but we realized she needed 1:1 support—especially with eloping. From the moment I reached out to GentleCare, everything was a breeze. Their billing department is transparent, responsive, and truly goes above and beyond to help you understand your insurance coverage. Every staff member I’ve met has been professional, kind, and genuinely caring. I actually look forward to seeing the front desk team each day—they’re always chatting about fun ideas and events for the kids, which makes the space feel so joyful. I also love GentleCare’s scientific, data-driven approach and how they’ve built such a warm and inclusive environment around it. Every child is different and outcomes will vary, but in just four months my daughter has started sleeping through the night—which alone has transformed our family’s well-being. The aggressive behavioral responses are mostly gone. She’s made her first friend and was invited to her first birthday party. Her speech therapist, Sam, is amazing—the language explosion we’ve seen in the past two months has been incredible. Rebecca, her BCBA, has taken the time to truly understand my daughter and design programs that make her shine. And then there’s her RBT, Bryana. I don’t think a day will ever pass when I don’t feel overwhelming gratitude for her. Bryana has taught us so much about how our approach as parents can make all the difference. She’s the human version of sunshine, and I couldn’t have dreamed of a better person to spend so much time with my daughter each week. The facility itself is beautiful, clean, and thoughtfully equipped, but what truly makes GentleCare special is the people. The women who founded this center have built something exceptional, and I’m endlessly grateful that my daughter gets to be part of it.
The team at Gentle Care Therapy has made it an excellent and enjoyable place to work! The staff that I am privileged to work with are kind, patient, and exemplary leaders. I am grateful to be part of a company who truly value their employees and clients!
