This place deserves ZERO stars! After completing paperwork and insurance being verified I was told that there was no ABA therapist available at the time, but that they could start services in September. Now that September has finally come, months after my son was on the waiting list Discovery ABA sent me an email informing me that they can no longer provide services to my son due to insurance technicalities. The kicker is that I work for the same insurance company that I have coverage with and verified that Discovery ABA is in fact a par provider with the insurance company, so their excuse was a LIE. Discovery ABA wasted time that I could have used searching for another therapist for my son. The way they treat children that are in need of services is UNACCEPTABLE!
Discovery ABA changed our lives for the better. At first therapy at home from a stranger felt extremely overwhelming. Discovery ABA showed me patience and were caring team from day one, answering all my questions. Im happy our experience with ABA has been nothing but positive. Auri worked extremely hard to find a therapist that matched with our life. It felt like an ideal match when my son met his therapist.No horror stories here. Thank you.ABAhas helped my son achieve his goals in a compassionate and exciting way everyday.Kindergarten wouldnt be the same experience without all the lessons his dedicated RBT guides him through. I don't write reviews very often if at all however I am inclined to express my frustration with setting up services with this agency. When I initially called to set up services I was told the process would take 2-3 weeks. After 4 weeks of not hearing back after I completed intake paperwork I sent two emails requesting an update and did not get a response. After that I called for an update and was told I'd be moving on to the next step of setting up an initial assessment. Someone called me after a few days and after giving my availability I was told I would get a call back. After a 10 day wait I called again for an update, gave my availability for about the 4th time and was told I would get a follow up call in a few days. At this point I expressed my frustration with the process now being almost 2 months and that I am the one contacting them for updates after not hearing back from them. The person I spoke with apologized and said I'd be priority and I would get a call within a few days. Well, I never received a call back. I contacted another agency upon the recommendation of my child's speech therapist. I made the initial call on a Friday and just completed the initial assessment the Tuesday after. I am new to ABA services and thought maybe my experience with Discovery was common and a 2 month wait is the norm. Sadly it's not.
Discovery ABA deserves 5 stars! Their team is incredibly knowledgeable and dedicated to helping individuals reach their full potential. The services provided are exceptional, and I'm impressed with the progress they facilitate. Highly recommend!
I personally know the senior management at Discovery ABA well and always come away thoroughly impressed. Special shout-out to Mark Elias and Ari Levine for running the show. Keep up the great work!
