I started working with HKM Employment Attorneys initially as a general class member on an action being brought up against my employers. After talking with them, and getting fired in the process, it became apparent that I would have a personal suit against my employer in addition to the class action. I primary worked with Adam and his team in Denver. Other than a basic background in employment policy, I had very little idea how all of this worked and what to expected. I met with Adam several times over the phone or video call and he walked me through what everything meant, what possible actions would come next, and what he would recommend. He really took his time to explain anything I had questions about or didn't understand. They eventually made me the head representative for the class action, and although Adam always offered his perspective, he made sure that I was the one ultimately deciding for the class and choosing how to proceed. During mediation meetings, Adam was passionate and firm, and the whole team really coordinated well on how to answer or retort during the hours long back and forth. Throughout the process, I felt like I was supported and listened to. I felt like I had a say but was never alone to make decisions. I felt like I could always ask questions and for clarification and Adam would give me a straightforward and easily understood answer. If you believe you were wronged by an employer, I highly recommend HKM as a law firm that will fight for workers and hold companies accountable to employment laws and fair practices.
