Review regarding the online experience only: It must be intentional to make every single part of their system (portal and PAWS) as non-intuitive as humanly possible. I imagine it was some high schoolers project to have numerous systems that don't communicate with each other for hours or even days on end. Additionally I have emailed 4 different departments or contacts directly listed on FIT's own website and have not received a single response. I don't know if anyone actually works here or not but I imagine they're highly overpaid for doing exactly zero work.

FIT maybe tell your construction workers that it is illegal to block the only entrance and exit to a residential complex. I hope I don't need the police or an ambulance because they won't be able to get in. Let alone all of us trying to go home after an 11 hour overnight shift. They block our complex every single day and every single day I struggle to go home or take my kids to school on time because of the construction. Also tell them to contain their site. I shouldn't have sheet rock at my apartment from your site. Also shouldn't have had to change 3 tires now back to back because of giant nails. This is absolutely ridiculous.

I feel 2 stars is being generous. This review is solely based on their online MBA program. From the moment I was accepted, there was zero guidance on how to set up the portal, student email, etc., I didn’t even know what online learning platform they used. There is one advisor for the entire online MBA program and she never introduced herself. When I needed help trying to navigate the portal, website, what learning platform is used, etc she was of no help. I didn’t even know what classes I needed to take. I had to reach out to her to get the document of classes. She never checked in once. I’ve taken 3 classes here and I only hear from her when I reach out. The other departments are also terrible at communication. I feel like I shouldn’t complain because I have a 4.0 and the instructors have been fine but outside of that it’s terrible. I originally was accepted to a university closer to me for my MBA and accepted their offer before Florida got back to me and they were wonderful. Introduction, follow up, guidance, etc — so when I switched to Florida Tech and experienced this, I was shocked a highly regarded school could be this terrible to their students. I also want to mention, I had no access to my Canvas or Paws for the first month I was accepted. IT couldn’t figure it out for awhile then finally did. I also haven’t had any access to my student email from August until currently (Oct 30). I withdrew from my fourth term and will be transferring to a university that actually cares about their students. The only time I had staff reach out to me first was to settle my balance I owe. How convenient.

Loved my experience here. The professors are wonderful and all the TAs and graduate students were helpful. It's also located in the Space Coast so that's hard to beat. The only downside is that the wifi is kinda bad

I enjoyed my experience here, and I would go back for another degree, if I could afford it, but I think they need to focus more on job placement. I graduated with a Physics degree, was unemployed for a year, and since then have spent 15 years working an entry level retail job. FIT's career placement department offers no more help than a free resume review website would. Which, considering what it costs to go here, is really bad.
