Bitdefender is virus software. The problem is autorenew is automatically selected once purchased. Trying to cancel this is a excercise in futility that leads to thoughts of a scam product. Not reccomended.

I wanted online protection so I subscribed to bitdefender. After I subscribed I kept getting adds to upgrade. I was sort of confused with the product/upgrade and I ended up mistakenly signing up for two identical subscriptions. I call tech support and asked that one subscription be canceled and to extend my subscription on the other account with the credit. The tech support agent who was not very tech savvy told me to cancel the wrong account!! So I paid for two memberships and I never had access to either membership as the tech support agent told me to cancel the wrong account. They never extended my membership because the wrong account was canceled. I called Bitdefender to try to rectify the problem and the would not help me. Bitdefender did nothing! They ripped me off for two subscriptions and they refused to correct it. Beware of Bitdefender. Their tech support dept is not tech savvy and I grade them as an F with respect to customer service. Very disappointing. I am sure Bitdefender will read this review but I'd bet they will never reach out to me to correct this very bad experience. When you buy online protection you want the peace of mind that the company will be there when needed. I cannot say that for Bitdefender. If Bitdefender reached out to me to right a wrong I'd gladly change my review.

Horrible! Purchased their protection and couldn't even activate it. Every time that I tried to create my password to login their system came up with a "Failed to get Two-Factor Authentication Enforced Setup variables". Then I had to wait on hold for 20+ minutes to get to an agent who tried to blame my browser cache and couldn't even understand my email address when I repeated it three times. Then I told her to just cancel it and she said "you'll receive an email in a few days. Ridiculous customer service.

I purchased this antivirus software and for some reason my payment had to be put through 3rd party company Avangate, Inc … well that was 3 days ago. My PayPal is out over $50 plus and neither Bitdefender nor Avangate has responded to me or PayPal. I ask you why would you spend your hard earned money with someone who couldn’t care less about your business or satisfaction?

Please don't waste your time or money purchasing Bitdefender. After the product deleted legitimate code from my computer I contacted support. The initial contact was quite good however it went downhill from there. After providing them all the information they asked for it took them several days to get back. When they got back they gave me a link for a solution that didn't work. After trying many times I eventually got the information to find that it was the procedure I was trying to do that failed in the first place. Totally useless, I won't be renewing my licenses.
