This is the cleanest nursing home I’ve ever been in. You would never know it’s a nursing facility the moment you walk through the doors. The long-standing staff speaks volumes about the environment, with many kind, compassionate nurses and CNAs who truly treat residents like family. Having an on-site nurse practitioner available five days a week is a tremendous benefit, allowing for timely, high-quality care that improves outcomes and helps prevent unnecessary hospitalizations. This level of attention and professionalism provides true peace of mind for both residents and their families. The therapy team is attentive and caring which promotes the best individualized outcomes and increased likelihood of returning home as soon and safe as possible.
The nursing home buy tigers stadium is the worst nursing home ever so if anybody has family members that needs to go to a nursing home don't put them there
We are forever grateful to the entire Memory Care Unit staff at QLS in New Castle. They took such amazing care of our sweet mother during her 2.5 years at the facility prior to her passing. We were first hand witnesses of the amazing care and compassion shown to our mother and the other residents every time we visited, which was a minimum of once a week - sometimes multiple days in a week. We couldn’t have asked for a better group of nurses and aids to take care of our mom. They treated her like she was their own mom! We are so grateful for their love and care - always with such grace and positivity! What an incredible gift these angels on earth are to your facility and to the patients and families they serve -- and we will always be indebted to each and every one.
If I could give 0 stars I would. My mother was placed in their basement on 5 days respite care to give my father a break (88yrs old) and try to figure out my mothers sleep so she wouldn't keep him up at night. Well, here we are 5 months later and she's now a permanent resident. The day she was admitted for the "5" day nonsense, ,she WALKED into the facility!!! Now, she has lost all mobility! I thought hospice helped but all they did was almost immediately admitted her and I fully believe they knew she wasn't coming out but made us believe 5 days max. LIES!!! My mother was in better shape at home. Now she doesn't eat, barely speaks, can't walk or feed herself. ALL things she was able to do at home! It's costing my father almost $1000 a month to keep her there and they are so short staffed that last night when I was there, dinner was all done and trays were collected but there's my mothers tray sitting next to her bed untouched and her water was bone dry along with her mouth!! NOBODY fed my mother or gave her anything to drink all day. The other residents in her room give me updates. My mother guzzled down cranberry juice, a protein shake and TWO pitchers of water she was dying of thirst and lips were so dry the chapstick we keep there wouldn't even glide over her lips. And if that's not bad enough, on Easter Sunday her call button was shoved under her mattress and she had a bandage on her arm dated 4/18. The nurse had no clue other than when she came in it was on her arm and looked like blood blisters so she put ointment on it and rebandaged it. NOTHING was charted on why it was put there or what happened. If you zoom in on the picture that I took and sent the director, you can CLEARLY see fingernail marks that pierced her skin!! She's fallen out of bed and laid there until someone walked in and found her that way because they are so short staffed! All of this is unacceptable. If you could have seen my mother 6 months ago compared to now it's a disgrace. My family and I get she has dementia and is declining but to go from walking to not walking? Dementia doesn't take your ability to walk away or at least it didn't until the day she walked in there! I will not tolerate any more from this place. ONE more incident and I'll sell my soul to pay for an attorney if I have to! I thought hospice was to make your final moments on this earth to be as comfortable as possible. My mother is so depressed and tells me every day to please take her home (when she is able to talk that is) Lately she's so drugged up all she does is sleep. There is 1 aid there names Tiffany who is amazing. As far as anyone else.....WORTHLESS!!! God forbid you ask them to do anything like simply fill up her water pitcher and they make you feel like you're burdening them. I'm sick of it! This is not how I seen my mothers life ending. In a nursing home that urine hits you in the face when you walk in. Last night a patient in her wheelchair right NEXT to the nurses station was stripping her clothes off almost completely exposed while all the girls at the nurses station were on the cell phones as usual! My next step is reporting this facility to the department of health! All we want is for our mother's final days to be happy and comfortable in HER OWN HOME!!! Nobody should ever have to watch their loved ones life being lived in these conditions and to sit and think of those bruises and nail marks tortures me. To think someones being rough with your dying mother rips me to my core and I ball in my car every time I leave there! I don't want a response to this as I'm sure you won't want to give one either because nothing gets done when I complain but if I can warn others about this place, then this is what it has come to! Trust me, do not place your loved ones in the place or hospice for that matter! Thank you Dr Coleman for your horrible advice to consult with hospice. Usually when you think of hospice you think of a loved one dying comfortably and peacefully at home not in hell!
I am horrified by how terrible this place is because while my mother who has stage 4 cancer received unacceptable care at this facility. She is deathly allergic to seafood and peanuts and she was given food containg these on several occasions back to back even though we addressed it with the staff. It took 4 hours for the staff to take care of her after she would have a bowel movement. My mom lost the use of her legs and it is as if nurses aids have no compassion at this place. Do not send your loved ones here. The staff is lazy and spend too much time looking at their phones rather than taking care of your loved ones.
