We received services from Golden Steps ABA five days a week for approximately six months for our son and things were going great-until without any prior notice or transition plan, our services were suddenly canceled the same day as a scheduled visit. We were told this was due to their head BCBA going on early pregnancy leave. After that cancellation, we never heard from the company again—no follow-up, no explanation, no assistance with continuity of care, and no notice that services were being permanently discontinued. Leaving a child without critical ABA services with zero notice shows a lack of professionalism and disregard for the child’s best interests. Families rely on consistency and communication, especially when it comes to therapeutic services. Unfortunately, that was completely absent in our experience. Based on what we went through, I would not recommend this company to families who need reliable, professional, and child-focused care.
My child has been receiving services from Golden steps for a few months now and we are so happy with the genuine care they provide. I am impressed at the consistency they establish and ways of working with my child. My child has improved a lot just in the few months we’ve been attending. All of the staff members are friendly and they all take such good care of my little one. The office manager is great at communicating as well! I highly recommend golden steps to anyone looking for ABA therapy.
My children have attended a few different ABA clinics over the years, but Golden Steps has been the best. The amount of care and love that goes into my children’s therapy is unmatched here. They are always doing special things for the kids, and I feel safe leaving my children with them. All of the techs and BCBAs are wonderful and patient with my kids, and the clinic manager goes above and beyond like my kids are an extension of his own family. My children have made a lot of progress since attending: they have more language and communication skills, better eating habits, and better behavior at home. The tools they teach us as parents help us bring therapy home with us every day. On top of this, they are very communicative with us about what our kids are doing every day, which shows their level of commitment.
My son has been attending Golden steps for over a year and we LOVE it! Everyone there has been super nice and so good to our sweet boy. When he was first diagnosed we were very hesitant about ABA therapy but when we finally decided, we chose Golden steps and we have not once regretted this decision! He is thriving and has come such a long way and I have no doubt that it is because of the amazing care he receives here! All of the stuff (Especially Ms.Christi and Mr.Michael) have been super helpful to us and so good to our boy ! We wouldn’t trust him with anyone else!
Golden Steps Aba of Knoxville has been such a huge help for my daughter. My daughter is 5y/o and will be attending kindergarten soon. They have done so much to prepare her. She enjoys going to aba therapy. She loves all of the therapists and they all enjoy working with her. Aba has been a great way for her to meet her peers. The staff is very good with communication and will do their best to help with any questions you might have. Very good 10/10.
