ABA Rank is an independent directory and ranked index of ABA clinics, software, and service vendors, helping buyers find and compare providers using a transparent, disclosed scoring methodology. We're looking for a UX Researcher to help us better understand how buyers (clinic owners, BCBAs, and operators) and providers use our directory, search, filtering, and matching tools, and to bring evidence-based insight into how we design and improve those experiences.
What you'll do
- Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative research (interviews, usability testing, surveys, diary studies) with buyers and providers using the platform
- Partner with product, design, and engineering to identify research questions tied to key flows such as search, filtering, provider profiles, and the matching/RFP process
- Synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights and present them to cross-functional stakeholders
- Build and maintain a repository of research findings, personas, and journey maps to inform ongoing product decisions
- Design and run usability studies on new features before and after launch to validate design decisions
- Advocate for user needs throughout the product development lifecycle, balancing user goals with business objectives
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of experience in UX research or a related applied research role
- Demonstrated experience with a range of research methods, including moderated and unmoderated usability testing, interviews, surveys, and card sorting
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into clear recommendations
- Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting research findings to designers, product managers, and executives
- Experience working closely with design and product teams in an agile environment
- Comfort working independently and prioritizing research efforts across multiple concurrent projects
Nice to have
- Experience researching two-sided marketplaces or directory/search products
- Familiarity with research tooling such as UserTesting, Dovetail, or similar platforms
- Background in B2B or healthcare-adjacent research contexts
