ABA Rank is an independent directory and ranked index for Applied Behavior Analysis providers, software, and service vendors, with rankings recomputed nightly and published in structured formats that AI assistants can retrieve and cite. We're looking for a GEO / AI Visibility Specialist to make sure our listings, data, and content are the sources that AI systems like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews actually find, parse, and cite when people ask about ABA care or ABA software.
What you'll do
- Own and improve our generative engine optimization (GEO) strategy across structured data, markdown feeds, the JSON API, and MCP server so AI assistants can reliably fetch and cite our content
- Monitor how ABA Rank and its listings are surfaced (or omitted) in AI-generated answers, and track citation share over time across major assistants
- Audit and refine schema.org markup, llms.txt, robots.txt, and other machine-readable publishing formats to maximize crawlability and parseability
- Collaborate with content, product, and engineering teams to structure new and existing pages for both human readers and AI retrieval
- Test and document what publishing patterns correlate with AI citations, and turn findings into repeatable guidelines
- Report on AI visibility performance to stakeholders, translating technical findings into clear recommendations
What we're looking for
- Experience in SEO, technical content, or a related discipline, with hands-on exposure to how AI assistants retrieve and cite web content
- Working knowledge of structured data standards (schema.org, JSON-LD) and machine-readable publishing formats (markdown feeds, robots.txt, sitemaps, APIs)
- Comfort reading and reasoning about API documentation and structured data specs
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to track and interpret citation patterns across multiple AI platforms
- Clear written communication for turning technical findings into actionable guidance
Nice to have
- Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or other emerging agent-retrieval standards
- Background in directory, marketplace, or review-platform content strategy
- Experience working with healthcare, credentialing, or professional-services verticals
