Not good for addiction nor adult services ,,, Have hurt more than help everyone I know , and they never hold anyone through their services accountable as to involuntary hospitalizations ,, over prescribing and misdiagnosis more than 90 percent of their clients.
This place is amazing for people that are willing to put in the effort, time, dedication, and work into themselves to better their mental health. Be honest and vulnerable with your psychologist to get diagnosed accurately. They only know what they’re told. Work with the staff while being open and receptive to treatment. It’s that simple. I finally got accurately diagnosed, got on personalized medication, talked daily with a therapist so we could talk about strategies to overcome my personal challenges, and I put in the work for myself; this place isn’t a quick solution or a “cure all” by any means, it’s the first step forward you just have to use the opportunity, be consistent with putting effort, love, care, time, and dedication into yourself. BOTTOM LINE: Work With The Staff and Put In The Work to make a better life for yourself. You have to put in the work for you, they can’t fix all of your problems for you: PUT IN THE WORK 💪🏻
I've signed paperwork only to be called a week later and told I never signed it (they lost it) I've been told wrong appointment days where the appointment date was wrong on the paper I was given and then told I missed an appointment. The doctor I'd been seeing seems like they were being intentionally obtuse and unhelpful. Strongly suggest avoiding this place.
They let my son almost die. His oxygen level got down to 80 and never even called and told me. Then I called to talk to him and they knew he wouldn’t be able to talk on the phone and lied to me about his well being then decided to call an ambulance after his oxygen level dropped again to 84!!!!! Yall should be embarrassed at how yall treat children in there, you messed with the wrong one!!! Filing for malpractice lawsuit my son is having more asthma issues now more than ever and yall won’t get away with this!!! Tell Polly don’t call my dang phone no more either!!! Yall make me want to puke!!! And don’t send me a dumb reply about writing a consumer report I’ve written 2 of them!!! And I take screenshots every time just in case this place magically can’t find them so try something else. RiverValley Behavioral Health should be held accountable for the actions taken regarding my son. If it was assumed that I would overlook this incident, that assumption was incorrect. This facility is a disappointment and warrants investigation. While not all staff members are incompetent, many are, and numerous individuals in the Owensboro area share this sentiment, expressing concerns that some staff members lack the necessary qualifications to work with children. Allowing a child's oxygen level to drop to 80 without promptly notifying the parent, particularly when I initiated contact to discuss my son's well-being, is unacceptable and warrants termination. I will continue to express my concerns until they are acknowledged, as I am deeply troubled by the potential harm inflicted upon vulnerable children who lack a voice or parental support. The actions of this facility are alarming and distressing.
I live in a small town, so I usually have to drive an hour or more just to go to a doctor's appointment. I made an appointment to get tested for ADHD a month ago and had asked for it specifically to be on today because I'm off of work. I confirmed this appointment twice and I get up there and the receptionist told me I didn't have an appointment and then said she doesn't have access to the therapists separate appointments and that I wouldn't be seen today. I usually don't complain because stuff happens but it's frustrating that my time and gas money was wasted. Please retrain your receptionist on how to properly make appointments.
