Kellie was incredible. Her approach was everything we needed--kind, caring, encouraging, and empathetic. My son was immediately comfortable with her. She patiently answered all of our questions and provided a wealth of information to take home. I really believe her open and encouraging personality made all the difference. I cannot recommend her highly enough!!!
In early 2024, we were on the hunt for a pediatric intensive therapy program for our then 1-year-old daughter with cerebral palsy. We didn’t feel like we were making much progress with a once weekly visit locally. We found PTC and scheduled an eval, and from that very first visit, we knew we had found the right place. She began with OT and PT, later adding in speech. The progress we’ve seen since then has been nothing short of unbelievable. The therapists truly care about our daughter and our family — we never feel rushed or like just another appointment on the schedule. Everything is thoughtfully tailored to her specific needs and how she’s doing that day, while still challenging her and helping her thrive. The administrative staff is also so kind and easy to work with. Scheduling, insurance, and logistics have been so smooth, and that’s a huge relief for families juggling a lot already. Everyone is so welcoming. Our 4 year old son is often brought along for appointments and has made friends with many other patients and siblings. The staff always take a moment to listen to him and make him feel included too. When we decided to move forward with a recent procedure for our daughter, PTC went above and beyond. They ensured we had all the information they could provide, took her pre-op care very seriously, and helped her build an incredible amount of strength leading up to surgery. Now, post-op, we are continuing to work with them daily, and their support has been just as exceptional. We commute an hour each way to come here, and it is absolutely worth it. The care approach is very innovative - they seem so dedicated to always finding the best ways to help a child. We are so grateful for this team and would recommend them without hesitation to any family looking for pediatric therapy care.
I have gone back and forth about sharing my experience at PTC. In hopes that it will help someone else I have decided to share. I went to PTC asking them if they take my insurance CHAMPVA, they said they did so we started here. The OTs and PTs were wonderful although there was a lot of turnover. Our therapists would randomly disappear without explanation. This was a red flag to me. After many months of going here they decided that CHAMPVA was not paying. While this may be true, but also might not be true, they advised me to get other insurance because I should continue at PTC, but they would no longer take CHAMPVA. I got blue cross and blue shield and canceled CHAMPVA. They claimed that Lucas (who no longer works there, no surprise) tried calling me and emailing me about how many appointments this new insurance gave us. I had no calls, emails, or even face to face notification of this. We went here, mind you, multiple times a week. They finally called me when we had one appointment left. We had 42 appointments that we could’ve spread out throughout the year, but we were unaware. We left and went to Fyzical which I highly recommend. PTC wants money, bottom line. I am now and have been in the process of getting CHAMPVA insurance back for 8 months now. They provided us with unlimited visits. As a mother who has never had any other insurance than tricare I hated how secretive PTC is and how greedy. I will never recommend them to anyone and we will never go there ourselves.
Pediatric therapy center has treated all 3 of my children. They are an amazing team and really become like family. My children have all 3 thrived there. One of my children has fully graduated all 3 therapies and my other 2 are down to just one therapy each a week. If you are consistent in your children’s care and take them for their therapies it is amazing the growth you will see! I have been to other clinics in the area for care when PTC did not have availability and they do not even come close to the care we receive at PTC. We love all our therapists there!
PTC is the ONLY place I’ll ever take my very medically complex son. We’ve been to plenty of other places and never received the care like PTC provides. They have so many resources, equipment, therapists and so much more. They even make me, as the Mom, feel important, respected and heard. We love you PTC! 💙💚
