We had such a wonderful experience with IBO. They literally treat you like family. My son grew so much, mainly because our therapist and BCBA truly cared and would go above and beyond to achieve the goals we set for him. I would highly recommend this provider. They met all of our expectations!
We’ve been with IBO 30 hours a week for two years. It has been a revolving door of providers (some of whom are among the positive reviews listed here, as well as a review fron the owner’s spouse, which is beyond tacky) for just shy of a year now. We’re averaging a new RBT every four months. Admin has not partnered with us to find a suitable provider for our child, instead plugging staffing holes on what feels like a whim. Our afternoon provider was allowed to drop our kid as a client with no transition plan in place for another client. Overall, we’re disappointed with our experience and strongly considering leaving altogether because of what feels like a lack of consideration and professionalism. This is supposed to be a clinical practice, and it feels more like babysitting services at this point. The only thing keeping us here is an outstanding BCBA—and I’ll be shocked if they can hold onto her. UPDATE: Shortly after this post, we refused to work with an RBT who has a website detailing their use of clinical practice as a platform for their evangelistic beliefs. Their employee has a right to her beliefs. As parents, we have a right to request a secular provider for our child’s medical care. All of this is beside the point—this provider had no experience with a child like ours, and that was something we stipulated up front that we expected in a provider. The owners found a temp and we sent our son in on the next business day to meet them to see if it might work on a part-time basis for now (under close supervision from his current BCBA) with the promise that they would partner with us to find a good fit, even if it meant we cut our son’s hours until the right person could be hired. The BCBA gave no indication that our services were about to be terminated. That evening after meeting his new temporary RBT and spending a day with her (and an entire weekend spent preparing our son for yet another change in provider), our son’s things were packed up and we received an email stating we had been dismissed from the practice for “discriminating” against their employee. Our child didn’t get to say goodbye to his friends or his BCBA. He didn’t even know it would be his last day. None of us did. This was the same week school started back—which he had been attending from the practice with an RBT 30 hours a week. We had to scramble to adjust our schedules to be with him, and he has now gone weeks without the therapies he needs. In any other clinical profession this would amount to patient abandonment. It’s inexcusable. It is clear the owner has zero regard for their patients based on how my son’s case has been handled for the past several months. I do not recommend this practice, at all, to anyone.
My son recently graduated from Innovative Behavior Options after three amazing years. Our team of therapists were the kindest and most communicative therapists we could have asked for. In our three years there, there was never a moment I was unhappy with anything. My son began thriving there and I'm so proud of his strides which were made possible with the help of the amazing team here. We will miss you all dearly! I can't recommend this place enough!
Oh my goodness I love my team. Our supervisor is helping me feel like I know what to do and when. I love it. I’m learning how to interact with my daughter in real time. Her language is booming since working with them. Thank you thank you! The owner even came out and helped me potty train her in no time flat. They also worked with my husband so we could be on the same page and that was so key. Love you guys!
I cannot say enough nice things about IBO and our experience with our RBT and BCBA. They have given our child a life and a future because of their hard work, knowledge, and dedication to helping him. The service we have received has been above and beyond, the staff we have dealt with are always courteous and helpful. Our child now has great potential, thanks to the verbal, social, and behavioral help he has received. Beyond happy and impressed with IBO.
