I attended the technology training program in 2024 and successfully passed my CCNA certification exam. From my experience, I was one of the few students who completed the program and achieved the certification outcome that was promoted. While I appreciated the opportunity to learn networking fundamentals, I am disappointed with the lack of follow-through regarding the apprenticeship and career support opportunities that were promised during the program. I reached out multiple times for guidance and support, especially to Pastor Keith Davis, but unfortunately, many of my messages and requests for meetings went unanswered. The program presented itself as a pathway toward apprenticeship and professional opportunities, but after completing the training and certification, I did not receive the level of support or mentorship that was expected. Unfortunately, after completing the program and earning my CCNA certification, I felt there was more focus on promoting the program and obtaining funding than on supporting students with real apprenticeship or career opportunities afterwards. I worked very hard to succeed and earn my certification, so this experience was frustrating and discouraging.
I absolutely LOVE the Camden Dream Center! Keith Davis and his crew are PHENOMENAL people and their training and dedication to excellence is displayed on every occasion that I have visited. I attended a “ Hack-a-thon” and Tunge made each and every child feel special and his passion was felt throughout the organization!
