Poorly handled office, frequently rude staff, and an unforgiving dismissal policy. EVEN IF YOU CALL IN AS SOON AS YOU MISS AN APPOINTMENT, they dismiss you after 2. No matter the reason. I had technical difficulties with the app one week which made me miss a telehealth appointment. I called in to reschedule DURING MY APPOINTMENT WINDOW to let them know of the tech issues and rescheduled for next week. Daylight Savings Time started the following week and I ended up missing again bc I forgot to reset my analog clock. They did not care that I called in to let them know what happened or reached out to them to apologize! They claim they send you a list of other potential providers when they dismiss you, but they ONLY send you an automated e-mail with a link to PsychologyToday.com, which is insulting. If you don't ask for someone permanent, they will dismiss you without a word if your provider leaves the practice. Go somewhere else if you can.
I was seeing Dr Kiani for 2 years and he transferred to another department and I was moved to a new Doctor by name of Doctor Prabha. I am so disappointed in the service I am receiving! This Doctor has yet to see me for an initial appointmentand has rescheduled 4 times in the last 2 months. I just hung up with the office and let them know I'm looking for a new provider as this is ridiculous ! If you need care do not count on this location as they are horrible! Spread the word!
PROJECT RECOVERY are some of the kindest, most knowledgable and fastest-responding group of medical professionals I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I have used this office for years now for a variety of reasons, and the level of care is unmet elsewhere -- from the moment you walk in. Nobody paid me to write this, I do not work there, I am just a normal guy who is very happy to have his mental health back firmly in his grasp.
Please stay far away from this treatment facility. The way I was treated and my case mishandled, to be discharged for asking for a therapist switch. Spoke to Kristen who pushed for me to stay in treatment after voicing concerns that my therapist was frustrated with my treatment progression due to unknown medical conditions. Questioning if I was imagining my symptoms. I agreed due to being in treatment for almost eight months. To sign in to the following video visit to be scolded by my therapist and told that she will no longer treat me. Baffled due to what I had discussed with the supervisor Kristen. I called back into talk to her. She refused to call me back. I was discharged in March a week before I was diagnosed with lupus. I continued with the therapist treatment plan to then be banned in august from the practice. Without any communication. Due to their miscommunication. When asking to speak to rosemary who was out on medical leave throughout this entire situation. But was also a supervisor and my therapist supervisor. She refused to speak to me. Saying she felt uncomfortable to do so. This place is a joke. They completely mishandled me and my case. In addition to banning me for asking for a different therapist due to us not communicating well. I was then told that I should try again everyone has off days. I agreed to be scolded and told I need a higher level of care. Now having both a medical and a physiological diagnosis. I now should be able to get the correct care. But how they handled me was horrible and now I have incorrect and basically lies documented on my medical record based off their mistreatment and miscommunication. Down to the dates and documented information being altered to fit what suits them to discharge me, but again not at all what occurred. In addition to me calling weekly and advocating strongly for myself and my mental health. Trying to just have a conversation due to their mix up. Rosemary nor Kristen took the responsibility to address this situation and or the mix up of Kristen telling me to continue and then having my therapist scold me and basically make me feel like I’m a issue due to her conversing with Rosemary and not wanting to continue. Which is fine but then taking it to a point of saying I need a higher level of care instead of assigning another therapist until I have my diagnosis to be able to give me adequate care. It is absolute sad this is the “best” mental health treatment available in Delaware. They take no responsibility. This situation has caused me to fear seeking any type of mental health care. Christiana care is supposed to be a name to be trusted for health care. This situation has completely tainted me. I have also already worked with patient relations and it’s gotten me nowhere with the departments refusal to talk to me.
Office is terrible. Usually on hold 10 minutes - at least. First in person appointment for my daughter we waited an hour. They forgot to tell the therapist we were there. The therapist was awful. We’d filled out extensive survey paperwork and it was never mentioned. Therapist came right out and said my daughter was probably on the Spectrum because I had her late in life (39). I could go on. Just a place I don’t suggest - at all.
