Whoa. I’m sad to read bad reviews.. This organization has been a godsend for my family. I’ve been a member for over a year now and have gotten action from the airport, as well as the appropriate mental health care we had been so desperately searching for for years. Their resources and referrals have literally changed the trajectory of my child, and my family’s health and well-being. I’m so thankful for WAA!
The front line staff are hard working, friendly, and passionate about their jobs. The owner and some managers were very cold towards me when meeting in person at a conference. However, they were very friendly when accepting donations. After submitting donations, they ignored me when I questioned how my donations are being spent and when I recommended if they could streamline some services.
I feel compelled to write a comment after reading the one star comments. WAA helped me tremendously when my insurance did not want to cover ABA therapy years back, however to speak to the owner. I attended a autism conference and met her and was excited to thank her for helping us get services, she was very cold towards me so im not suprised to see these reviews. If you need advice please try to get advice it may help, unfortunately whoever it is that runs this business doesn't seem to care.
I have close relationships with families who have worked with WAA. Navigating services for family members who live with autism is complicated and the mission of WAA is so necessary.
