ABA Rank operates an independent, ranked online directory that helps ABA clinics, buyers, and vendors find each other, with rankings recomputed nightly from public review data and profile signals. We're hiring a Full Stack Engineer to help build and scale the web application, search and ranking systems, and public-facing tools (directory search, filtering, vendor/clinic profiles, and matching workflows) that power the site.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and ship features across the front end and back end of a production web application
- Work on search, filtering, and ranking-related functionality that powers the directory and matching experience
- Build and maintain APIs and integrations, including public-facing data endpoints
- Collaborate with product and design to translate requirements into working software
- Write clean, tested, maintainable code and participate in code review
- Monitor, debug, and improve performance and reliability of existing systems
What we're looking for
- Professional experience building full stack web applications (front end and back end)
- Strong skills in modern JavaScript/TypeScript, plus a common front-end framework
- Experience designing and building APIs and working with relational databases
- Comfort working across the stack, from UI implementation to backend logic and data modeling
- Ability to write clear, well-tested code and communicate tradeoffs clearly
- Solid understanding of web fundamentals: HTTP, authentication, performance, and security basics
Nice to have
- Experience with search or ranking/scoring systems
- Experience building or consuming public APIs and structured data formats (JSON-LD, OpenAPI)
- Experience with SEO-sensitive or content-heavy web applications
- Familiarity with directory, marketplace, or review-based platforms
